Salesman must have been excellent, as I paid full price and only got a free coffee mug... heh.

My car seems to have been in Sheerness for around 10 days.
Dealer just saying will let me know when they know and seems to be avoiding me.

I think strikes at Sheerness have lead to a delay with my delivery as it should have “exited sheerness on 29/9” according to the dealers previous event log.

It’s my second Taycan and our 7th Porsche so familiar with normal timings,
Just wish they had said there are strikes at sheerness so might be delays.

Has anyone had any delay because of recent strikes ?

It's been delivered. After what seemed like an interminable delay we finally have the car. We picked it up Saturday afternoon. Put 195 miles on it on the way home. We made a quick Sunday drive up the north shore of Lake Superior today hoping to get a decent picture.

Bump…..am also interested to see if any other UK deliveries have impacted…am in the waiting for dealer (Cambridge Porsche), to notify it’s been delivered, indications are that it should be any day now and it would just be a downer if delayed at the port……

Well, October 6 is here, and TYD has given up making predictions and now just says the "next milestone is in sight." Neither my salesperson nor PEC Atlanta admit to knowing what is going on. Why they can't just call up the people at the port of Jacksonville and ask is left unexplained.

Perhaps the web developers over at Porsche should reconsider saying the milestone is "in sight" and instead just say ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
The manager at my dealership was able to talk to the people at the port, and they confirmed they're still waiting on the battery check. They gave no timeline for completion or eventual release (TYD shows a new date of 10/27, but I'm sure that's meaningless).

The dealership is willing to give me my deposit back, or give me a small (4k) discount on the car. On one hand, I've waited this long; perhaps waiting a bit longer doesn't matter in the grand scheme. On the other, this is a lot of money for an apparently highly error-prone car. I'm leaning towards just getting my money back and washing my hands of the whole thing.

I agree with you on washing your hands of it at this point. My rationale is if anything goes wrong once you get the car, you will be extra bitter about not taking the “out” when you had it.

to be clear I say this as someone awaiting a new car myself but that didn’t have to deal with your flavor of insanity

Car delayed yet again. This time supposedly a week, 10/12 to 10/19. Like @summerlion said, I’m sure this is just a placeholder. Also as @summerlion said, what’s another week? the dealership I’m using will give me my deposit back also but they haven’t offered any discounts. Next week will be 18 months going through this process, really don’t want to wait another 18 months for 2024 should i request to roll over the deposit on a 2024 allocation.

Please pardon the premature celebration, but I have production photos. I think this angle shows the color in the widest variety of lighting:

Your photo is giving me second thoughts on my chalk GTS ST in transit. I was offered a PTS spot to order a 2024 GTS ST… ?

Riviera/Mexico blue vs. chalk ?

Mine got pushed out again. This time by 2 weeks to end of the month. On a positive note, every time the push out is reducing by a week. So, maybe I get it before the end of the year. LOL. Don't know how else to react.
