Taycan's built for the chinese market come with some aditonal air-intake/flap. Could be related to that.
Makes no sense that they didn't do variant coding for that though.

Good news. I have scanned a J1.2 E-tron GT today and everything works normally including clearing faults and reading ASG data.

The gateway does not block access over DoIP, so unlocking SFD2 is not needed when using the ENET cable.
Does this mean that MapEV Diag is able to read and report J1.2 battery SOH (unlike carscanner for instance) ? Placing an order for the cable right now ...

I think it should be possible.
I will add it as soon as time permits.

@prj is there a way to know when the DTCs were triggered (date/hour)?
I see a lot of them but there are probably very old ones.
I got an Electrical System Failure message a few weeks back (which went away for quickly) and I am curious to know what fault triggered that. The date/time info can be helpful in these situations.

Yes, for that the freeze frame data needs to be parsed. And it is custom for every fault code and ecu.

Unfortunately that's quite the task, and I am not sure when I can get around to it.

just noticed this thread, need some time to consume, but my first impression from your username is probably true? Are you the same prj from Nefmoto and ME7logger scene? Have you ever met setzi62? :D

Apologies if this is a dumb question, but I am quite new to this - I checked my 2020 Turbo and was able to clear all but the following:

Porsche Taycan Part 1: MapEV Diag 1746298239958-2c

Doesn't seem to be a major issue, but is there some reason this one won't clear?

Unless you get a Porsche/Audi tech here who has hit that problem before, then you will never know.
If your car has warranty, then you can go and complain to the dealer about it. I don't have a such error in my PCM. PIWIS has "guided fault finding", and the diag tool might have a test plan for this fault. Or if they don't have one they can ask the factory, and will receive instructions what to do.

Also, after you clear the codes, after some driving check what comes back. Those that keep coming back tend to be legitimate concerns. Except the OTAFC module. Screw that thing.

My 2021 has the exact same issue...I checked navigation and it appears to work fine...so we are in the same boat (altho I like "faults" that have no obvious impact!)

Is this about right for a TS CT....611Nm in Launch mode...
511Nm in normal mode.
Both @ 73% SOC.
Or does it show just one invertor?
Thanks.
Will charge to 100% and see what are the changes .

1. It's only rear.
2. The correct numbers are 550 and 610, when not using a toy app.
3. SoC does not affect peak torque, only peak power.
4. You should post this in Part 2 thread, this has nothing to do with MapEV diag.

The 'Clear All DTC' function is really useful and will be very much needed when swapping the ASG modules.

A request...
- Is there a possibility to make a limited version iOS app with just the 'Clear All DTC' feature?

Use case:
Cloned ASG unit fitted.
For whatever unexpected (breakdown, accident, fault, etc...) reason, the car needs to be taken to the Porsche dealership.

Things to do:
- The ASG unit needs to be swapped.
Not a big issue even on the roadside or in parking area of dealer (only needs 2 tools and these can be kept in car at all times along with the original ASG unit).

- Clear Errors.
This needs a Windows Laptop; and this can be difficult to organise at such times

Solution:
If there was an iOS app (and all the app did was clear the DTC errors) then this could be accomplished quite easily.

Hook up the Enet cable, USB-Ethernet adaptor to iPhone, Launch iOS app, done.
Yes, it would require keeping a USB/Ethernet adaptor and Enet cable in the car - but this is easily manageable along with keeping the ASG unit.

Provides a better safety net for users who are anxious about dealerships; now that iPhones support direct ethernet connections using USB/ethernet adaptor.

bootmod3 (for BMW) has a similar setup for BMW tuning/ clearing error codes and it works with direct ethernet connection from phone to car using Enet cable.

The CarScanner app with a bluetooth adapter can clear the DTCs by using your phone. No need to carry enet cable and that adapter, etc.
