I wanted to come back and respond here because my issue was a simple fix.. My disconnect happened permanently until fixed and started 1 week after i picked up the car.. I got ahold of my Porsche Tech today and he said this happens from time to time with new sales. He looked in the system and noticed that my Porsche account no longer was connected to my new car… Nothing i could have done, nothing that would have purposefully done by anyone but he was gonna call Porsche in Atlanta and see if they could fix.. Porsche Atlanta was closed today as it is a national holiday (dealership was opening). Porsche tech said i just added it back on my side. Could be fixed as he sees a green dot in my account associated with the car… Said it could take up to an hour.. i checked in the car after 30 minutes. No change. Then went back and sat on couch. Checked app again 15 minutes or so later and hit refresh and my details were updated in the app. Then i got 4 or 5 push notifications about preconditioning car from the Porsche App. Went out to the car and everything was working fine.. Locked car from app etc. Everything back to normal. This was my issue and my solve. Not saying the other issues / solves aren’t options but for me on a MY25 and this scenario. This was the issue.. YMMV.. thanks everyone.
Thanks, very useful. Did the tech need to have your car connected to PIWIS or could they just look it up on the system?

We now have a few potential fixes...
Battery disconnect
Underground car park or equivalent
Porsche Connected Services to ask Germany to reset their end
OPC to check if car is connected to your account
OPC to reset/reboot Conbox
OPC to replace Conbox

In my case underground car park (so no signal) for a day fixed it.

im not familiar with what PIWIS means. The dealership Porsche tech said he saw a red dot beside the car in his system and he had to reassign the car to my account and then it switched to green which he said meant I was connected to that vehicle and my Porsche ID which re engaged my Porsche app connectivity to the car. I hope that answers your question.

PIWIS is the Porsche diagnostic and programming system. I suspect he had your car plugged into that when he spotted it wasn't connected to your account. The dealerships can also look up the vehicle when not plugged in but I'm not sure if this would show if it is connected or not.

Next time I'm booked in the OPC I'll ask.

All of this happened over the phone and my car and I were 60 miles from the dealership. Nothing plugged in.

Ah that is very helpful info. Thanks
I've spoken to Porsche Connected Services while mine has been down and they can see the sim card is connected but no data but they don't seem to be able to do anything except open a ticket with Germany which then takes about a week to get a response.

This was my exact problem about 8 days back... when I learned about a possible way here, but I think you are on J1.2, so doesn't help either...

Yep moved from J1.1 to J1.2 last November. I had several lost connections with the old one but always accompanied by the two horizontal lines instead of LTE symbol.

Porsche Connected Services did agree with me that is a shame there is not a user option to reboot the Conbox. I think every mobile phone I've owned has needed the occasional reboot to sort problems out.

I really dont understand who are these ‘software developers’ that Porsche employ?

How can a business be so good in mechanical, electro-mechanical and mission critical computational stuff (I mean ECU, ABS, PASM, brakes, PTV, etc…) and yet be so poor in consumer interface software ?

Probably not as helpful as my other comments but the issue came back again sometime in the last 24 hours where i lost data connection and stopped getting updates to the app. I reached out to my dealership Tech and he said “did you try logging in and logging out” which i had not done this time around and as soon as i did it, my connection was restored.. This should be the first thing anyone tries, every time. I did this the first time the issue came up but didnt think to try it the second time. Not sure why I’d need to do this, i have never had to do so on my Tesla but it fixed it and it was easy so an easy step to try and get things back working..

Does logging in/out mean in the MyPorsche app, or in the car's PCM?
If car does not have LTE or 4G symbol displayed - meaning no data connection to Porsche servers, deleting driver's account from PCM will result in not being able to re-add the account until data connection is restored.

I contacted Porsche connected services directly to address the issue of non connectivity. They called me once direct from Germany and send me a mail asking to re-send them a ticket through the app with some dash pictures.
Yesterday they sent me an email saying I should go to my Porsche centre and that they should already have a received a todo list. That was 100% true, they told me at the Porsche centre they got a 3 page email detailing 7 steps to carry out.
To be followed end of june when the car goes in...
Update: 1 week before my dealer appointment suddenly the car connectivity came back alive. So the connectivity was dead from april 15 to june 14. I contacted Porsche connected services to ask if they did something. They called me back the same day saying they did nothing and to make sure that I kept my appointment at the dealer.
When I went in for the appointment the dealer refused to take the car saying they could do nothing and the hours working on it could possibly be billed to me since everything was working. They did tell me when things went down they would squeeze me into a quick appointment.
Took the car back home.
Since then the connectivity worked from june 14 to june 19. It went offline for half a day and came back on. I also had a half day on july 9 that it stopped working.
Anyway it's now working (except for 2 half days) well since june 14...

This really does not have the look of a hardware failure but some authentication problem.

Seems like it’s currently down across all cars, including Audi…
Hopefully it’s due to the NACS update

I had an issue with my 25 Taycan where it lost connectivity to the app for over 10-12 days. Two finger reboot, app relogin, fuse resets, etc didn’t help. Took it to the dealer for latest software update and apparently it fixed the issue for few hours.

App connectivity lost as of around 9pm est today. Also the 2 finger reboot no longer works with the latest software :(

Coming from model S, I really miss Tesla’s software and the app, nothing comes even close.

I guess I will have to take the car back to the dealer for such a minor issue that really should be addressed remotely.
