Porsche NACS DC Adapter Now Available to Order

Posted in another thread, but suncoast has them in stock today if your local dealership route doesn’t work. I gave up on the Porsche direct ordering, always sold out the second they notify me it’s back in stock.

I just checked with a couple of dealers in Chicagoland area and they weren't even aware the adapters were available until I gave them the item numbers. Unfortunately, none of them have any in stock.

My CLE dealer received an allotment Wednesday afternoon 9/10 so it might be worth checking back in a day or two.

I ordered mine within minutes of the announcement, and I got a "shipped" notice with FedEx tracking that night. Three days later it's still not in FedEx's hands...

Got tired of chasing small inventory and just bought the Lectron one. Easy to find a 15% off code so the Porsche branded one not actually cheaper.

This "Porsche" NACS DC adapter looks suspiciously like this Lectron on Amazon which is in stock.

There is an updated Lectron adapter which since it looks identical to the Porsche adapter I would assume Lectron is making it for Porsche. As far as I can see, the only update to this one is the weather rating. But both are in stock if you don't want to wait for Porsche.

I got my adapter today and tried it out.
Pretty good experience - the Supercharger here had side-saddle stalls with generous cabling.
I had no trouble reaching the port at all.

Interestingly, the Tesla app instructed me to detach the magic dock, which I'm pretty sure it didn't have...at least the Tesla app doesn't say there's magic dock. I used my new adapter anyway and it worked fine without incident.

Details on the charge session which was cold - no preconditioning.

wow that’s interesting that they filled the paid orders first and the free orders are lower priority…

In talking about Magic Dock, just a note that the Porsche/Lectron adapter seems to have better dimensions and tolerances than the Tesla Magic Dock one. I’ve had trouble getting the MD to click into the CCS port, but the adapter works perfectly.
