Porsche2X Traffic Light Information

I happened to notice this option buried in the settings. I haven't seen it work yet.

It suddenly started working for me. I guess my city (Pittsburgh) started upgrading some lights?

That being said, some small % of time it’s wrong. Combine that with the limited value in the first place, and now I just ignore it.

I would prob blame the municipality on this one. Government tends to work slower than even Porsche.

Audis had that around 2018... my 2019 eTron SUV had it - in our area SF has most lights with this "tech"

I tend to look at the lights and react to the meaning of the colours. I have had this system for 78 years and never fails.

My 2025 Taycan often shows how much time it thinks is left on a red light but it is not particularly accurate. One day it will get it just right for a light and the next day it will be way off for the same light.

My prediction algorithm:

I've never regretted moving faster between lights in hopes of avoiding the next one. I have routinely regretted going too slow and just missing a green however.

Thus I should gun it from every light.

Around here people blow through red lights all the time so I am usually pretty cautious about hitting the accelerator until I am sure the intersecting traffic is stopping.

Quick look each way to make sure there is no immediate danger and then floor it to get out of that intersection ASAP. Plus I get to floor it.

I like to be at the front at lights - leave you to imagine why. On the other hand it can be handy to breeze thru non-stop with the correct timing - assuming your city does it.
