- Taycan CT 4 - 2026
It's an outlier, majority of German EV are limited by safe inverter output or by battery. For the 2024+ models, they get 10 seconds of full power, no magically speed limiter and significantly less power drop.
Apart from the commercial limitations where models with multiple trims are offered with the same hardware.
Chinese EV are also not really purposefully limited to lower power, and usually all the models have different hardware.
I mean Porsche having Taycan 4 to Taycan Turbo with the exact same hardware is just a cash grab.
Realistically there should be RWD, Turbo, Turbo S and Turbo GT. All without any mandatory options and at a much lower starting price.
If I would have gotten a Turbo with the same exact spec as my car, I would have paid 40 000 for a couple bumpers and some turbonite accents. That's how they make money.
