Well unless said notification is meant to be the car’s theft alarm randomly deciding to ring without letting you do anything about it….
Same when it happened to mine -- the only notification was Porsche calling my cell with a message saying my car had been stolen.

The fix is: The app now sends you a notification saying the battery is low… and you need to go and turn the car on and off again so it can charge itself.
Imagining: I can see myself in far far away with the car on the airport parking lot…. How on earth do you fix your problem then?!
to make imaginary matters worse; if the 12v battery is dead and the car gets stolen (on a flatbed) does it even register and call emergency?

Before the update the way to know the 12v battery was dead was because the alarm went off and the company called you.

But presumably that's because the alarm battery was so low it was about to stop function and had lost power, so there'd be no more calls!

About 5 years ago I bought my lovely brand new 2012 Porsche Taycan Turbo S.
Well, that counterfeit Taycan (Porsche never made 2012 Taycans) is at least 14 years old (2026-2012 = 14), perhaps the 12V battery just needs to replaced? :p

I have a 2 channel dashcam running 24/7 from my 2023 Taycan's 12V battery (original new, car production date 12/2022), left it for over 2 weeks unplugged (at the airport) last summer, no problems, car started up just fine, the dashcam was still running (it would shut off if the voltage dropped too far). I don't think I connected to the car even once from the app when away. The car's software is supposed to top off the 12V battery from the HV battery as needed, and it seems it's working. I had the 12V recall done recently when the car was in service.
