any of you members hold both cars ? taycan for daily use and 911 for weekend and special rides?

any words to enlight ?

996 cab and a Taycan 4S. Taycan for business and the 911 for fun. was going to part exchange the 911 for the Taycan but decided the it was worth more to me as a weekend car. Ive had the 966 for 20 years, Ive looked at updating it with a 991 or 718 but see little reason to change.

For 3 years I've owned a 991.2 S. I loved the car, and is my 5th 911. Our relationship began to weaken after acquiring a 2025 Taycan. After driving the Taycan for 3 months, I found the 911 cramped, too loud, and not as peaceful. I believe it is my age (65). I am considering selling the 911.

Since my GT3 arrived, I enjoy a bit more the Tacan's everyday usability, and smooth but still sporty ride. GT3 is another league, but wasting miles in heavy city traffic or boring autobahn trips.

Our garage is similar. Wife has a CT4 and I have a 991.2 GT3, plus R8 Spyder.

Small tangent - did you know your Taycan wheels are mounted on wrong sides (left tires on the right, and probably vice versa)? These Taycan wheels are the only OEM ones which are mirror images of each other, and with different widths between front and back, no two are identical, so they cannot be rotated or swapped around. As each wheel turns forwards, the aero blades are supposed pull air out from the wheel wells (entering from the vent under the light for the front, and of course from the bottom), in the configuration you have you're pushing air into the wheel well from the side.

Nice catch, just got it back from its 10k service. Didn’t even notice they rotated them. I guess a free coke in the lobby while they switch them back. Which hat to get this time…

Although I no longer have the Gentian Blue 2020, I still have the same combo. I just don't have a pic of the 911 Targa with the Chalk J1.2 Taycan. It's such a good combo and so fun to go from fully electric to manual ICE.
