Pricing just landed today for the Malaysia market so action time !
Base config includes

GZ2 Soft close doors
4F2 Comfort Access
KA6 ParkAssist including Surround View
KH5 Advanced Climate Control (4-Zone)
Q2J Comfort Seats in Front (14-Way, Electric) with Memory Package
9VL BOSE® Surround Sound-System

So i cooked this up after some thinking: http://www.porsche-code.com/PS4JJUK8

No ST here, and I need something more practical than the sedan, so CT 4S. Not obsessed by range, so going for the pretty rims.

Rationale:
- going for a "technical" config which means four wheel steering, active ride (still have not seen reviews) which means PTV
- i was keen on big brakes (PSCB) but it seems coherent for a technical config to lean on the technology and rely on the 400kW of regen as an assit for stopping power ?
- very very hot climate here so seat ventilation and thermal insulation are priorities. Electrochromic glass roof is a nice gadget, but i leave my current car with the liner closed most of the time
- not sure about Dolomite silver, not settled on exterior color
- still tickled by deviated stitching but it is so expensive
Pics from the UK configurator (we do not get the nice 3D thingy here). Forgot to add the black window trim.

Pricing is quite reasonable in comparison with Europe, lower than CH.

Thoughts ?

How do you plan to use your car primarily?

There is no liner in the Taycan panoramic roof so you're probably good not choosing it.

PSCB not worth it, what I read so far. Either steel or PCCB. But unless you plan on tracking it frequently and very hard, steel will be fine.

Just wondering, no rails because no panoramic roof and no bike carrier preparation? Not an issue for you?

Interesting point. I could not see myself have any use for roof rails and they force the panoramic roof.

No use for a rear bike carrier either, and i could see this being a thing for a 2nd hand buyer here. The few who cycle here do so at night, too freaking hot during day time. So nobody takes their bicycles anywhere.

I have a reasonably high speed 2*30 min daily commute on freeways at 150kph cruise speed. Road trips not frequent. Weekend escapes to Singapore. Why ?
Options are your opportunity for a purpose-built car within the Taycan framework. It would be important to ensure that the options you select support your specific use-case.

I agree. Roads here are paradoxical. Nothing remotely close to alpine passes, but the absence of any noticeable law enforcement and abundance of highways and freeways makes for high average speeds and lots of flowing combinations with entertaining bumps.

Hence my inclination to splurge on Active Ride, also for the convenience of ingress and egress. I am also a sucker for nice interiors, so i could still see myself yoloing my way to deviated stitching.

I wish that the exterior/interior combo was not an elimination process.

Let me chime in the context of the rationale provided. Most are why nots, but totally respecting personal preference for everything you have chosen so far.

- Why not "Ice Grey Metallic" since it is richer and lighter and matches Chalk interior better
- Why not add free " Tyre Sealing Compound and Electric Air Compressor"
- Why not 14-way Seats that allow for Massage function. I always chose 18-ways on other cars, but 14-ways look and fit the narrow interior better, so I went for them and added Massage function.
- Why not choose this to remove the lower plastic from the mirrors and match gloss black window surrounds " Exterior Mirror Lower Trims painted in Exterior Colour including Mirror Base painted in Black (high-gloss)". This is not a well known option, but you will see that plastic on the mirror every time you look out from the driver seat.
- Why not PSCB for the reason of no brake dust. Yes, brakes are rarely used but the brake dust from steel brakes will still be there and the rotors will develop rust as normal look vs. mirror like look for PSCBs.
- Why not this to remove hard plastic from sill guards and B-pillar " Inner Door Sill Guards and inner Trim B-Pillars Leather"
- Why not " Night Vision Assist" for detecting animals and pedestrians at night.
- Why not " Air Quality System". Is the air quality good in the area. This helps the efficiency of the air filters by ionizing the particles, so they clump together for better capture in the filter.

Thank you for these comments & suggestions ! Useful food for thought.

- Why not "Ice Grey Metallic": my RS6 & S5 were both Suzuka Grey, my S60 is also pearl white, looking for a break from white-but-not-quite
- " Tyre Sealing Compound and Electric Air Compressor" not found in the MY configurator
- Why not 14-way Seats: adjustable bolsters of the 18-way add additional comfort and make sense for a handling-focused car in my view
- mirrors trim: yes, good point, comes down to how much and where to spend on cosmetic goodies. I am not on a Gentian + blue stitching config, so the black lower part somehow fits, but it is a valid point.
- Why not PSCB: brake dust not really an argument, wheels are not that hard to clean. Big brakes were more of a cosmetic factor. A bit spooked by the cost of pads too. Decided to lean on the tech (regen) and trust the cast iron elements.
- " Inner Door Sill Guards and inner Trim B-Pillars Leather": going racetex would match the roof liner. I think i would add the racetex seat consoles first.
- Why not " Night Vision Assist" for detecting animals and pedestrians at night. Pedestrians or game are not a thing here. I have had night assist on some test cars, never found it convincing.
- Why not " Air Quality System". Yeah, good point, maybe i should tick that box. Does the ionizer really make a difference ?
