Yep, don't fall for it. The Taycan's first service is at two years.

My sales rep said Porsche's non-EVs need service at one year (just like my wife's Audi ICE SUV), so you probably just got a blanket email from your dealer sent by someone who didn't know to exclude Taycans.
Is the first service supposed to be done at 2 years OR 20K miles? I'm not certain, but I'm not too far from the 20K mark at about 1.5 years.

That is correct for Europe. 30k km or 2 years, whichever comes first.

It is also visible in MyPorsche app for me at least

I always go by what the car tells me and ignore the notices from the dealer :)

Good point, thanks. My guess is whichever comes first.

Yeah, I got repeated calls & emails (at least three) for service reminders after one year; I ignored all of them. Now coming up on my 2-year service interval, I just called them for pricing. The quote I got was $1,924, so I'm going to call around to other places. This is in Northern Virginia, Porsche Chantilly, and here's what they noted:

That looks like about 1 hour of work. How can they possibly justify $2K without cracking up laughing? Criminal.

Seems absurd.

In UK it was variable across OPCs but around £650 / £750 for the first 2 year service (20,000 miles) - so around $950 (or less).
Mine was under £500 (I'm pretty certain).

Loan car and great service included.

Not US but...USD700+VAT was mine in Hungary. 20k miles service on a 16 month-old car so brake fluid works are excluded. Highest items of the bill are 'inspection' and 'water drains check and cleaning'.

That list seems to be cobbled together in an attempt to justify the price they are quoting? Some of the descriptions seem cut from a generic description. Headlight Washer??

Quite an impressive list of work checking to be done. I don't think I missed it but there does not seem to be a labor code for flushing the brake fluid which, along with replacing the cabin air filter, is the only real work done to the car. So is the brake flush an additional charge? I would love to see how many flat rate hours the tech is paid for to do the 20,000 mile service. My guess (based on a fair number of years owning a repair shop) is no more than 2.5 hours. After deducting around $150 for parts from your quote that would work out to charging the you $700 per hour for labor. Being very generous and allowing 4 hours for the service it would be $440/hour labor. Are there that many brain dead Porsche owners out there that the dealers get away with this on a regular basis?

Just a quick update - they reduced the price to $1,609 ($318 less). So going to call around to other places. The service does include a brake fluid flush (not sure why it's not specifically listed), and they built in 6.0 hours of labor for the above work. Parts are $372.

Should have been listed - used to be a couple of years back.

The fluid is hydrophobic and must be replaced every 2 years.

The rest of the service is a bit of a sham and indicative of the realisation that there ain't a lot to service and running costs of dealership need to be met somehow.

I got a text message from my dealer saying it's almost time for my 1 year service... Anyone else get this? I thought I just needed to do the 2 year service. Seems like they're just trying to sucker me.
ask them to explain that...maybe its an automated email or you need to change dealers.
