Tyre brand for Taycan - poor longevity with current

I recently replaced the factory original Michelin PS4 NF0 tyres after over 30k Kms. I found them to be great for noise, grip and wear, so I replaced with the same tyre.
I'd previously run Pirelli P0's on my M3 and found them noisy and not as durable.

Just checked the Porsche USA warranty doc, and I can't find anything that says you must use N-spec tires.

Warranty clauses include exemptions where:

• "not maintained in accordance with manufacturer's standards"
• "fitting non-genuine Porsche parts"
• "vehicle modified in a manner not formally approved by the manufacturer"
• "you have failed to follow the guidelines on operations, use, treatment and care of the vehicle"

etc etc

Porsche are quite clear on the need for NF-rated tyres eg in the tyre TSBs:

• "Use only tires recommended by Porsche"

My Taycan cane with Goodyear Eagle FI Assymetric 5’s. 265/35R21 NF0

`Have so say I have not been impressed with them in that I have had several spontaneous flats where the inner side wall has seperated with the road surface over a few inches.

TO be fair this could be poor road quality. I have no way of knowing. However my inner intuition suggests its time to change brand.

Any thoughts? Would you only stick to NF0 tyres?

TBH, I think it's almost irrelevant in the UK about tyre life v tread...the potholes will get you well before then!
I've replaced all 4 of mine within the last 1.5 years with 5mm+ tread still present but bulges/splits due to potholes

Got 18k miles from my rear factory fit Pirellis, but a pot hole got the front nearside and a bulge so had to change early, would have got to 20k I think. Put Goodyear Eagle 5 on but too early to tell, feels just the same to me

For my purposes I am not interested in high performance summer tires, I am only interested in all seasons. At my trusted local tire shop, they are offering me the Continental ExtremeContact DWS06 Plus.

Happily running Continental ExtremeContact DWS06 Plus tires on my 2025 GTS right now. Not suitable for the track, but they do very well in the wet and cold. Much better than the Procontact RX tires - They performed poorly in the wet. I've had DWS06's on several prior vehicles and they helped me get home in the snow a few times where I was expecting to be stuck. Recommended.

I think there are the only two options right now:

1) Continental ProContact RX(NF0)
2) Goodyear Eagle Touring (NF1)

Looks like the Continental has the best treadwear.

The OEM Conti’s are an excellent tire. It’s the first OEM tire I will purchase again.

I run the electric p zeros now.

They last around 11-12k at most.

I've had P Zero Elect as fitted from new.
Each spring I get a new set and by autumn I've almost worn them out.
For sure they don't like cold and wet. My note to change is the Ackerman grinding.
The Pirellis do stick very well when warm and they've done me very well on the tight mountain roads I like to enthusiastically drive.
Just received a new NF1 21 inch set for summer 2026.
My sympathies for drivers encountering such bad roads and potholes.
All season tyres are just a no for this car.
If drivers are seeking longevity on tyres then perhaps they should join the EV max range group chat and maybe you got the wrong car....

I have the PS4 on my car and they are a good product. But I am looking at the CrossClimate2 as it has an insane number of 5 star reviews on Discount Tire, and they are a bit cheaper. I have the base model, I am not an aggressive driver, and I live in SoCal so don't have weather extremes. Any thoughts on that product? TIA.

After all that I changed both fronts with the same Goodyear AS5. The black circles price was too much for the other NF0’s.
