I'm truly sorry for you having to endure this sh*t show.Pardon my language, I realize this is a family forum but this is becoming an FING NIGHTMARE.
I haven’t had my car since 10/20.
I have had it with all of this.
I almost bought a new Taycan instead of enduring all of this, and now I wish I had.
Not a long terms solution (just remembered you asked for pic of this high tech solution once before, so here you go):Your microfiber towel on a stick might be better than this:

That is the same question I've been wondering about. Talking to service, they've seen many failed heaters, but never seen this yet, so my car is a pioneer. There is nothing whatsoever that I customized with, or adjacent to the HVAC system, so the only thing I can think of is either weak parts batch, production process deviation (new trainee installing things at the factory?), or some unique way I happen to use the car (wouldn't be the first time, have been told my different people I tend to use things differently than majority of users). The bypass valve I believe is part of the "heat pump" mechanism, which is optional in some countries, maybe not tested as well because not present in all vehicles?Any idea what would cause two servo valve motors to fail?
Ha! Are you using the night vision display in case your windscreen fogged up?Not a long terms solution (just remembered you asked for pic if this high tech solution once before, so here you go):

Also would not work in actually freezing temperatures (no way to defrost a frozen windshield from the outside, also the fog inside would likely freeze on a frozen windshield).
PS> Service let me know the car is ready (and heating), picking it up later today!![]()
I always have it up on the IC. It is useful at night when blinded by oncoming cars, also useful when I see something in the shadows and I want to confirm is it just a shadow or something live/hot. I still scan it during day driving, it became part of my instrument cluster eye scan.Ha! Are you using the night vision display in case your windscreen fogged up?
My car is not even 3 years old, under 20K miles. Servos wearing out that quick seems like really poor reliability design and/or quality assurance. The effort required to change those servo motors must make it quite expensive for Porsche warranty too, unless of course this ends up being charged to the supplier of the servos, so Porsche doesn't mind?Servos fail because they wear out.
I’m also in pinball and have had to replace servos that died.
Well the servos I had experience with were “Hobby King” servos to make spotlights pan around the pinball playfield. I found a more robust replacement from a hobby shop for RC cars.My car is not even 3 years old, under 20K miles. I had two servos shot on my Turbo S, my car was 2 years old and had 12000km on it.My car is not even 3 years old, under 20K miles. Is that mean They didn’t fix it or you just want new carGot my car back today. I'm buying a J1.2.
But but but.... we count on you to help us feel fortunate for our relatively trouble-free Taycans![]()
