Closing in on 8 weeks since mine went in. Latest was work was going smoothly, but the repairs are not done in one repetition" and it would be a while still. Later in the week it was another "work ongoing, will update again next week." SA has been good with 1-2 updates per week regardless of if there is any progress or not. 1500+ miles on this base Macan and counting. Every time I start it I look forward to getting my car back.
Ouch, hopefully they get you out of that Macan and back into your Taycan soon.

Glad to hear it. Would love to hear an update after you get your Taycan back. The Cayenne is better than the Macan but not remotely close to the Taycan.

Progress. For the last two months the car had been in privacy mode and then hard shut down with no battery in it. Yesterday my home screen widget on my phone showed it was actively charging. No news from the SA, but I can see them cycling the battery now which I take to be a sign of tangible progress!

2 months 1 day and 1800 miles in a Macan later I have my car back. Service Advisor has been great I have to say. Six modules were replaced. 1.5 pages of parts, 2.5 pages of detailed notes from the technician performing the work. Looking for any excuse to go for a drive!!

Update: I got my car back today. It took 5 weeks from dropping it off to picking it back up. Everything seems fine at this point. They won't have the paperwork ready until Monday so I don't know exactly what was done.

I had a little free time today so I hooked up a scanner and clearly they replaced 5 modules. I also verified that they upgraded the PCM software to v3885 (not part of the battery work but because I asked them to upgrade it for better stability).

Well, two months after getting the car back I woke up to the red circle of death again. Seems I must have shifted into BRICK mode by accident 🤷‍♂️. Did the whole turn it off and back on thing and it did clear after some time. Schedule for next Friday to take it in. It's not clear right now what the next steps are though. The first time around when it was in the intermittent phase the diagnostics found no issues and they couldn't take any action other than to hand me back the keys. It wasn't until it fully bricked that they could diagnose and repair.
So, here's to a week of German roulette.

Not enough pages.

What did this all cost? Or was it done under warranty? Just had the yellow warning yesterday... ugh.

It was all done under warranty. Your 8 year 100K mile battery warranty should cover it if they need to replace modules assuming you're still under 100K.

Ranting/venting. Feel free to skip.

Jan 14th the error returned, Porsche thought it was "leftover" from the Fall service (and no, that's not how that works). Error returned a week after it was "cleared". Car went in again on Feb 10th. Diagnosis was two more modules needed replacing. Parts arrived a couple weeks ago and the repairs started. During testing the battery failed a safety check. Now new bus bars are on order. Almost two months in, again, and no end in sight yet.
To recap: two months of intermittent errors stranding me before the first diagnosis could be made. Two months (and a day) to repair. A month and a half of actually getting to drive before the error returned intermittently. A service visit, then another month of intermittent errors, and now two more months (and counting) pending repairs.
Bit frustrated at this point. I emailed PCNA to note the Service Center has been great, but I'd like some assurance we're not going to be going for round three and that Porsche would ensure the right repairs were done in a timely fashion. PCNA's response was to contact the Service Center to tell them to get to my car sooner, and then tell me they had done so. Great, thanks. Now the Dealer likely thinks I'm a jerk. They can't magically make working parts appear.
But here I am, driving around a base model Macan again. I very much dislike this car. It's like stepping back into the 2010 Infiniti I had, but with worse driving characteristics. It's a daily slap in the face reminder that I paid a lot for something nicer that I enjoyed driving. And yet I've put more miles on loaner cars than I have on my own car in the last eight months.
Frustrated. Tired. Annoyed. All the things. I was so excited I might have my car back by my birthday. No chance of that now. Disappointing first P-car ownership experience.

That’s crappy @JIP1080 I think you’ve been pretty patient and reasonable, nowhere near jerk territory which in the circumstances could be forgiven!

Has there ever been talk of pack replacement? That would be a result worth having.

Cheers. Hoping not to be a jerk, and I know the Service folks are just stuck in the middle to a large extent.
In talking to the SA about pack replacement he said Porsche dictates the repairs based on the diagnostic results. Which makes sense with warranty issues. Part of the reasoning for the earlier email to Porsche was to have a record of raising to them that this situation is unacceptable as a base for future discussions of necessary. I'm trying to make it clear they have not handled this in an appropriate way.

I feel your pain and I was similarly pissed off after driving Macans for two months and still not having a satisfactory resolution.

I ended up buying my way out of it into a new GTS which I have mixed feelings about. I don’t love paying more money to get out of a problem I didn’t create. And I don’t love rewarding Porsche’s bad behavior.

The problem is firmly on their shoulders for failing to address HV repairs and training. I feel like these shops end up “shotgunning” parts as guesses.
