Interesting that replacements should be new part. Wonder is that just a manufacturing/stocking issue or the new hardware has improvements they want to roll out as much as possible.

May I inform you that Porsche changes part numbers of the exact same item?
This may be due to other manufacturers or for no reason at all.
I had this with my tail lights and bumper/spoiler parts as well.
Also on part numbers of other Porsches.
Drives you nuts really...
Why?
It's just guessing, therefore not of any use to solve "our" problem of the PCM, unfortunately.

it may not sound familiar to you but, investigating issues is quite normal and trying to understand what's going on, because dealers are usually no help.

Yes, part numbers may change due to tiny reasons, but the frequent changes are a vary good hint, that there may be issue. Checking rear bumper e.g. shows not a single part number change, but e.g. the rear lid lock does (see my problems with it).

one of the latest features of my logging app is to solve some issues of the infamous gang of four (pcm, gateway, OTA and telematics CONbox ECUs).
Sending keyOnOff-resets to these ECUs helps to temp fix the issues like Icons disappearing, being offline, no traffic info, range90 bug etc.
I still test which order or selection is sufficient and which can be done while driving :)

the video shows PCM6 reset, which is way faster than 2-finger engineering boot workaround.

My “My Porsche” iOS app stopped working in the last week … it no longer displays car status, battery level, location etc:

However, the web app (my.porsche.com) accessed on the same device still works. So the car is communicating its status with some server but the app is not talking to the server.

I’ve tried logging out, reinstalling etc to no avail.

Anyone experience similar and have a solution?

shake your phone (feedback gesture) and send the bug as feedback to the devs, they are much faster than the PCM devs! :)

Gimme a "raise spoiler" button like Porsche has in their piwis. Pretty please with a cherry on top? So jealous of the etron gt owners. :(

i can see how this would work… when I clicked … next to my account, the last sync time was 4 days ago, around when the app stopped working.

Changing to guest then back to my account updated the sync time, but the app is still not working.

Deleted my account from pcm and added it back, also didn’t work… plus I had to enter my security code which I almost forgot haha.

will give it some time and see if it rights itself

Having exactly the same problem with My Porsche on Pixel 5 /Android 12. So not Apple specific. I followed the car PCM logout/guest login steps which worked for the car. Browser access also shows all connection services but app is still defunct. I've emailed the contact provided in the app. No reply as yet...

Dealership contact me today and informed me that Porsche is doing some app server maintenance, and all they can do is.. report the issue back to Porsche HQ.

guess all we can do is wait.

The only time I was really glad I had remote service was when my car was being towed, and I got a notification, so I hopped on a cab and chased it down haha

Still unresolved for me. On iOS the app updated to version 3.0.1 ("Small bugfixes and improvements") which appears to be the update that broke it.

Tried to submit a bug report via the app store, but my enquiry ended up at my local dealer; not sure what they can be expected to do in this situation!

App is working again! Looks like it was an issue with whatever server the mobile app connects to.
