The PS4S is a marvelous tire, but they need to get them NFO certified before I put them on.
I agree and I don't understand what's so laughable about your post, putting a smiley at it.

No, it's not.
If it's not NF0 it's not for the Taycan, it's just that simple.
You are wrong!

It doesn't have to be NF0-rated for it to be Michelin's recommended tyre for the Taycan. The 'N' rating is a Porsche requirement for warranty purposes and notes a bespoke tyre produced with Porsche's input. These are two different issues.

On the Michelin website, for the Taycan on 21" wheels, they show two possible tyre choices - the Pilot EV and the Cup 2. These may not be fitted as original equipment, however, but would be entirely legal for use on the car.

I understand what you are trying to say.

BUT...
If you have drivetrain or suspension related issues, Porsche won't fix it under warranty cuz you are not driving NF0.
It's as simple (and silly) as that.

I would love to try Michelin Pilot Sport myself but, cuz I'm still under 6 year warranty, I won't risk it.
After the warranty I'm going to try it though.
But first I'm going to try 21' Goodyear Asymetric NF0 cuz my Pirelli P-Zero Elect NF0 wear quite fast imho.

So, am I still "wrong"?

Michelin Pilot Sport 4 is NFO for the Taycan in 20’
Not available for 21’
NFO for 21’ inch is Pirelli.
N rating means Porsche but does not mean suitable for all Porsche.
If they were then all Porsche tyres would just have an N
Obviously a tyre for a 1500kg Cayman is completely different from a tyre for 4WD 2500kg 1000Nm torque electric vehicle.
To suggest any tyre with an N on it is ok for a Taycan is dangerous.

And that's exactly what I said above!

I am correct that, according to the Michelin website, the Pilot EV IS the recommended tyre for a 21" tyre on the Porsche Taycan GTS ST, as confirmed by my link above.

The warranty issue is something entirely different (again, as I outlined), and for the same reason I would not be using the Michelin recommend tyres on my car unless or until they become Porsche 'N' rated.

You only proofed there's a contradiction in recommendations, not that I am "wrong". ?

You responded to my message, claiming:

This is demonstrably wrong, as per the link that I provided from Michelin!

circling back to my question, and leaving aside the NF0-religious debate:
for those of you who have chosen to use the PS4S 21", what pressures are you running?

Of course!

I've got over 10K on them right now. I was looking at replacing them before Palooza but it looks like I still have 8/32 of tread depth (I bought a gauge to be sure.)

I continue to be very happy with them and will replace with the same when the time comes.
hello

are the Michelin 4s quieter that the Eagle or pirelli? I’m talking about 21 inches wheel. That will be a good benefits on the top of It.

Derek, I know you have been very strong on this point of running Michelins on the 21s even they are not specd and I prefer and run Michelins on the SUVs but N0 spec. Mine will have MissionE wheels and I plan to put Summer Michelins on it like you did. Could you send me a link to them on tirerack so I know exactly what you are getting since you tried and comfortable with them. I prefer All Seasons if those exist as I do not plan to have a smaller winter set at this point for the Taycan as I do for the SUVs, but having Michelins if only Summers exist would be the way to go.

I didn't actually get them from Tire Rack, I got them from on-sitetires.com. I'm afraid all I have is these pics of front/rear.

I worked with a gentleman named Chris there (I think he may be the owner) and he sourced them.

@DerekS, this is what TireRack is listing which is some mashup of different kinds as it appears, somehow one is MB rated and the other one is not. The sizes match up but as you can see availability is not there until basically August. I did check the onsite tires you shared and they do not list them.

Call them. Talk to Chris. Have him see what he got me for INVOICE 13825.

Tell him I sent you, and that I need another set by the end of June myself :)
