Never buy tyres from a dealer, unless they are prepared to match prices with other outlets (Micheldever, Black circles, Oponeo etc).

Other things to watch - always make sure your screen wash is topped up. On ICE vehicles, ask for the price they are charging for oil and insist they match other outlets on that too (eg Opie) or supply your own. It's eye watering what they charge when you consider what they must pay buying in bulk.
Totally. But £1100 for a set of 4 tyres in this size, NF0 marked as said, fitted is really quite competitive.

The charge for an electronic alignment from the dealer however may not be as pleasing…

Does having carbon ceramic disc's change this thought/opinion in any way?

I generally used to buy tyres from my local neighbourhood tyre place – they are very good and careful. I was talking to them recently and mentioned I was getting a Turbo S – and they were immediately: "hey don't bring those tyre changes here – we can't afford it if we accidentally damaged the disc's".

Later I was doing a wheel swap (summers to winters wheel set) at the dealer (as I bought the wheel set there) and I was impressed by the level of detail and care they put into changing the wheels: it went up on a full car lift; they used the long bolts to protect against the wheel hitting off the carbon discs when removing the wheel, etc.

Thoughts ?

How much do you trust your local place and the guy holding the tommy bar / rattle gun? ?

Admission - I've never had ceramics, but I'd be like a hawk if I did.

You can buy some of these guide pins (bolts) and bring to the tyre shop if you are nervous about hitting the disks. I have two of them and then the wheels slide off and on very easily. Well worth it!

Either your local fitter was winding you up, or you should find a better one ;)

Any more updates for recent 1st service costs?

There must be quite a few UK members who have gone through this recently, or booked in for it.

I think it's relevant due to the huge variation in prices.

I have been told be my reliable local tyre fitter who I have used for years that fitting high load 21’ EV tyres that have half inch super stiff sidewalls is an absolute bastard of a job. Easy to damage the rim.
If my Porsche dealer can get close on price which they would if I wave some internet quote at them I would go there.

Really depends on your tyre place.

I’ve used Tyre-Smart at Witham for years. A really good place. It helps that they’re all proper car nuts. They do everything from white vans to McLarens. I was there last month getting a 21 inch Pirelli replaced and it was absolutely no bother. £314 fitted vs £439.46 at Porsche Centre. Tyre was ordered in, fitted the next morning.

Our CT4 is going in May for its first service. Hatfield have quoted £539.82

+1 for Tyresmart too.

Though I use Chapel Hill in Braintree more often as they're closer. Always had great service there too.

I wonder if service costs are the same across the model range (eg a 1st service on say a RWD is the same cost as a Turbo S, and regardless of Saloon/CT/ST)?

Does that include VAT?

Seems the cheapest 'up Norf' price to date.
Yes, VAT included. Pollen filter, brake fluid replacement, inspection of drainage channels etc.
They did say that if there was a problem with the drainage channels then there would be a further charge for rectification.
