That moment when you see the new facia from the right angle and realize that it is…in fact, far sexier than the original.

Um no. It is definitely better suited to the more angular appearance (headlights, hood creases), but you can’t intermingle the two.

Personally I think the non-Turbo front bumper of MY25 Taycan looks better than the Turbo one, which IMHO looks like an afterthought or some design-by-committee marketing mod attempting to look a little like the original Taycan.

That said, here is my prediction. People will get used to the new look and learn to like it. I will use the Tesla Model S as an example. When they refreshed it and removed the "nose cone", to a lot of people, myself included, it looked like a "muzzled front end" (had it happened during the pandemic, you could say it looked "masked"). After a few years, people got used to it, and now the original nose cone just looks dated, while the new one looks more modern. Human perception is always relative, and continuously changes, though things like this tend to be like fashion, cyclical - i.e. fashion trends keep repeating every so many years. Watching my kids today, it seems 70's and 80's fashion is "in", including 80's sharp angles on a car with popup headlights. Apparently first generation Toyota MR2 is cool again. I actually had one of those long time ago, perhaps should have kept it as it is worth more today than what I sold it for in 1992 ($5,000 CDN IIRC). So in 2064, the original Taycan might be cool again.

Nice find.
Personally can’t really tell though as it is still a render, which never captures like an actual picture let alone seeing this irl. And it is possibly one of the worser colors to say anything about the design. Dark colours are nice, but they hide styling. Especially on the Taycan. Try white or Crayon.
Wheels are no inprovement it looks. Can you still get them with only the “cirlce” in color, with this design that would likely look off.

well, if you need to position yourself in exact the correct angle and position, plus have the lighting absolutely right, to see the beauty of the design. If that is required then I think it is a humoungus failure design wise.

A great design will be beautiful from all angles

Guess you’re now confirmed as the biggest fanboy on the forum :) - from your posts elsewhere one would guess you work for the company but as others have stated, a def no, not even close to being ‘sexier’ imo - but indeed all just personal opinions.

To me that front end looks like the engineers built the car with a moulded front bumper without any air scoop. Then somebody else pointed that out and the jigsaw came out to cut the holes. A further two mouldings needed to plug the holes and glued in place. All looks like an afterthought!

They could have done that so nice, like something the new Mercedes E class have

Even the simple BYD SEAL front is nicer.

Have Porsche entered some kind of Ugly front competition with the beaver look of BMW?

I couldn’t have said it better myself. Black cars hide angles

Meh!

Classic Porsche trick to always offer 2 front bumper / diffuser options - standard and Sport Design.

MY25 lets you fine tune more these aspects than before.

Plastic is plastic.
