I managed to complete some charging to 95% yesterday night. My Taycan and the PMCC would not work properly and I got a number of red charge errors when trying?? No idea why, whether car, PMCC or possibly power supply. So Dee is saying you can see the voltage difference at low SoC hence the voltages will be similar at high SoC - hence it is Top Balanced.
I used a Tesla mobile charger at 2.5 kW in the end which worked without any glitch.
If the balancing is done over a longer time this seems to work just fine as you can see in the graph below. All cells at the top are quite evenly charged and I think I saw a difference of 12 to 15 mV only. Even if my low level SoC show a ragged picture it now is quite even.
Did my SoH reading change? Very marginally I would say. From 89.9% to 90.4%. According to eFlow statistics my battery is 1.1 % lower than comparable cars in their experience?
