There are some tricks with toothpaste (not kidding) to fix scratches. A screen protector will sometimes hide small scratches too. If you google on phone screen scratches you’ll find the info you need.

Since a third party did this, isn’t this covered with the detailers insurance?

Yeah I can’t prove it. It’s a little shop attached to a gas station that looked safe enough.

I’ve got an order in for a screen protector and asked for a quote on the part from Suncoast.

Honestly I’m looking at 911s again. As much as I hate to go back to gas, this thing isn’t me (too big) and the E-Boxster I planned to replace it with is looking unlikely.

It wasn’t the detailer who scratched it - I would have noticed right away. It was me. I completely forgot that I dropped my titanium phone on it the other day.

I didn’t notice any damage at the time because it was dirty.

Sucks! Right when I got my Taycan I had my PPF installer put a piece of PPF on that screen. I hope the new owner is enjoying a scratch-free screen!

Sorry to hear about the scratch. I ordered screen protectors from Amazon way before the car arrived and then when it went to PPF, my installer placed all of the screen protectors by removing factory peel off plastic film and then immediately applied my protectors.

They were made for the Taycan's center console control panel and the PCM display screens (including passenger display). Installs like a mobile phone glass screen protector and easily removable. I'll look for my invoice if anyone is interested...

3M make a glass polish to remove light scratches from windscreens etc. Might be worth a try before applying a screen protector over the top.

Hang in there....It appears that the Cayman E may be available in 2026 following the Cayenne E launch. That's what I am lusting for.

I use a Brotect screen protector, bought on Ebay for <15 CHF; since almost immediately after I bought the car; mainly to avoid fingerprints. It works very well, I have to wipe the screen maybe once every few months instead of daily.

Just make sure you have the currency at US Dollars. I did get free shipping, as I ordered for the Taycan and Mini Cooper at the same time. Customer Service was great, I was sent the wrong ones for the Mini Cooper SE and replacements were sent out in a day.

Then there's labor which I'm sure is another $1000.
