I just got the ARB7 OTA update today, months after others started getting it . Seems Porsche must be using a dial up modem server to roll this out to all Taycan owners.... Of course, like many software updates, something else stops working. In my case Android Auto refused to connect until I locked the car and re entered 30 minutes later.
My Apple CarPlay started getting cranky after the update..so Porsche is picking on BOTH CarPlay and Android Auto

Good call checking the Porsche website, says it wasn’t fixed there either. 🤬 dealer
The only thing fast about Porsche is their cars on a track. I had ARB7 recall completed at the dealer (according to the invoice) ~3 weeks ago, NHTSA says "Recall Incomplete" but the ARB7 visit in not even showing up on Porsche internal service history yet, so no surprise.

Another VIN that requires the ARB7 OTA double dose.

Yeah the dealer finally emailed me back yesterday, said they haven’t filed the paperwork yet.

I had that happen (re wireless CarPlay), two finders on the LTE icon and the infotainment will pull up the reset menu

Software updates are often like this. A good "2 Finger Re-boot" often solves all problems.
I always told people to reboot their PC to (often) fix computer problems but did not think about doing the same for my car. I did the Taycan reboot and it actually seems to have helped! Thanx for the reminder!

Again, ditto for me - have been checking both websites since the dealer did the ARB6 update on August 1, and both still show the recall.

I’ve not bothered calling dealer yet, hoping it would fix itself with more time….
Just following up - today both the Porsche and NHTSA websites show no open recalls for my car. So as others have said - just took a bit of time (about 2 weeks) for my dealer to submit the info to Porsche and for things to get updated.

Just did the same, both say no recalls now. 🎉

I just got the ARB6 OTA and then, a few days later, got the letter from Porsche. So I was confused and asked them if I STILL needed to take the car in for service. This is what I got back:

Thank you for reaching out to Porsche Cars North America regarding your Taycan (VIN: Wxxxxxxxxx) and the recent communication about recall campaigns ARB6 and ARB7.

We appreciate you bringing this to our attention. While your vehicle may have received an Over-the-Air (OTA) update for ARB6, we recommend contacting your local authorized Porsche Center to confirm whether any additional service actions are required. They will have access to your vehicle’s recall status and can advise you on next steps based on the most up-to-date information.

Follow up Edit: so I call the dealer and they said they see no open recalls and they don't want to service. Right hand meet left hand!
Ask to see Porsche’s internal service history. It should show what cleared ARB6. OTA campaigns show up there too.

PS) or you could ask @ct14garage to run your car history for you.

No ASA2 (seat cushion)? That one shows no remedy/parts available yet.
Doesn’t that depend which seats you have spec’d? I don’t have that recall on my VIN (yet)

Good to know. I thought it was across the board, perhaps only the 18 way seats, or only leather, or both.

Interesting update.
  • My Taycan had the ARB7 from the very beginning, it never changed to ARB6.
  • I took it to the dealer about 3 weeks ago, they applied the ARB7 fix. However, they haven’t filed it with Porsche, as NHTSA was still showing ARB7 recall incomplete and even the Porsche internal service records never showed that visit. I was chatting with the dealer about something else last week and asked about it, they told me it can take a month to percolate through the system.
  • Today my car tells me I have an OTA update for ARB7. So I apply it once I get home. Update applies successfully.
  • I checked barely 2 hours later. NHTSA site no longer shows ARB7. Porsche service history shows an ARB7 OTA campaign applied, and ARB7 is no longer pending.
So it seems Porsche systems sync up with NHTSA very fast, even on a Sunday. The curious thing though is the fact that the dealer applied the campaign, but then OTA campaign can still be received and applied. Did the software install twice? Did the OTA have a newer version? If same version, why did it not detect they the correct version is already running? I also wonder whether the dealer just hasn’t submitted the campaign for a few weeks, and if so, what happens when it is submitted and the system shows the car already had that done over the air?
