Trying to get others experience with the heater problem since it's such a common issue.

Just overnight the heater stopped working, the fan still blows but only unheated air, but not very cold either.

Have schedule a visit to an OPC next week but in the meantime ran a diagnostic tool and came back with 2 codes that might be related? Not sure..

Since I hear that a low voltage could also be an issue with the DC to DC converter, wondering if anyone had a similar scenario that could possible share.

Attached screen shots with the fault codes.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for scanning the codes. My '23 heater also failed and I'll take the car in next week. Same symptoms, only cool air regardless of temperature setting.

Does anyone know how they perform the fix and which units are being replaced? More curious whether I need to remove stuff out of my frunk or back seats

Had mine replaced a few months ago, 23 GTS ST. Could not tell you the fault codes but sitting in a car at ambient temperature of 2 degrees C for 2.5 hours on the M25 meant my sole interest was a rapid replacement..! Plenty of related posts on this forum and many from others far more technical than I. some Members are on heater #5 for example…

I believe it is in the front passenger area.

I had mine replaced on my MY23 GTS ST before it was delivered (new) due to a stop sale.

I have a May '23 CT4. I understood it had the revised heater from the factory. It failed after Christmas and was replaced last month.

For what it's worth, the service department told me the heaters have been changed yet again as they were burning out by heating up too quickly.

I hope - again - that my heater will last this time. Had a new heater unit installed in February 2024 and again in January 2026 on my 2022 GTS ST

Taycan heaters die in droves whenever weather gets cold. Sadly, they are not the only weak point of Taycan HVAC design, servo motors which change airflow or coolant flow are also apparently failing a bunch. I've had both fail on my car.

Porsche has been perfecting the HV heater for 7 years now, so we know it's presented a huge challenge to them.

Who is developing though? Porsche or Webasto...

Two in three weeks...
Who cares? Porsche is the one who is putting their name on it since 2019. Whether they pay some engineer or a team of engineers at their supplier, they get both the credit and the blame, especially many years into production.

I've had the heater replaced under a recall, despite it working ok. Then a year or so the driver's side heating packed up. Servo motors replaced under warranty.

The HVAC system seems to be another area on the Taycan where Porsche complicates rather than simplifies. The Individual settings are a case in point - who needs such complexity? We just want to set the temperature to what we want and the system gets on with it. I had several Saab 9-3s where you just set it to Auto and it did the rest!

Btw if you are replacing the servos out of warranty, then an Audi Q5 and some other cars uses the same ones, so you can get them for a fraction of the price that Porsche charges...

I had to fix mine before I could get the car Approved again, as it was failing the 111 point check due to two bad servos.

Quick update:

Took it to OPC today just to run a diagnostic and confirmed the cabin heater has gone bye bye.

Sadly first available slot for replacement is in 2 weeks but they do have the part in stock.

Odd thing is on the way back after a 40 minute drive just as I was arriving home it started working again. This is the second time it has done this and always in the same place where there's a long steep climb.

Not sure if related, but found it strange that it comes back to life at the same spot.
