Yes, this.
So now
1) analyze the reaction to assertive turn in at 100 km/h. Normal mode vs Sport/+. It tightens the curve to the point it feels like it is going to oversteer on you.
2) pick a more gentle 80km/h constant radius curve, with some gentle bumps, and feel the tail wiggle as bumps jerk RWS while your steering angle input is constant.
We have currently the coldest winter in 25 years, with temperatures not really going above -10C over a month.
So doing any kind of assertive turns at 100km/h right now is pretty much out of the picture :D

Once it clears up a little I'll try to push it some, but looking at the forecast, we have another month at least to go of this.

That said, on the stints of motorway and b-road I've done I haven't noticed anything out of ordinary at 80-100km/h. Feels planted.

No real point I think, at least not buying the parts new. And it's not even the turbo vs non-turbo, it's just in general I am not a fan of the shape that was done.
Totally agree with you, swapping bumpers (especially buying new parts) doesn’t really make sense, and the overall J1.2 “base” nose shape is what it is.

That said, the Turbo/Turbo S front end still looks better to my eye, because it keeps a clear callback to the J1.1-style side air intake design. The base/4/4S have basically lost that completely on the facelift, which is why the Turbo bumper is more “Taycan” to me.

I believe this is a CT issue?

I consistently drive at 80 to 145km/h around curvy canyon roads, with and without undulations, in Sport & Sport Plus, without feeling what you described.

I certainly get oversteer if I'm coming out of the winding road at those speeds and I give it more throttle, the tail will snap out(TC grabs it). Could that be related to what you are describing?

No, i am talking about sensation of turn in oversteer. It is not to the point of having to opposite lock, but certainly enough to make you feel like you have too much steering angle and have to open.

If you do a sharp turn at high speed, e.g. sudden overtaking manoeuvre then the pre-facelift also aggressively moves the rear.
Unless you're used to RWS it's always unsettling, because it feels a little like losing the rear.

Btw, mirror paint wise, the detailing guys actually took the same stance as I did when initially ordering when I told them that maybe I should wrap/paint the mirror plastic parts gloss black.

They said not to do it, because I have gloss black inlays on the sides next to the structured plastic and that if it was all gloss black it wouldn't really look any better - like this it matches the arches and the side skirts/front/rear and looks fine. Just their opinion.

My old car had the mirrors in body color, so everything in Vulcan Gray.

Anyway, should get the car back on Friday, with the front end PPF'd, the displays inside PPF'd and the rest of the car ceramic coated.

Just want to say thanks for this thread. Nice to see how you're "onboarding" the new model and your thoughts comparative to the J1.1. Was very close to swapping my TS for a J1.2 TS last week but decided to stick it out with my J1.1 another season.

Will agree regarding your earlier comment about spacers that 10mm on a '21 sedan TS is about max. Anything more than that it starts to look like a monster truck with too much poke IMO.

Look forward to seeing what the tune produces!

Got the car detailed:

Porsche Taycan Project Purple - MY2026 Taycan CT4 20260207_104533_mod

PPF on front end, mirrors, under and over door handles and under the trunk cover. Ceramic coat for the rest.

They also did matte PPF on all the interior screens. I am not sure if I like the matte or if I should do it in gloss. The matte does almost completely remove fingerprint issues, but it changes the aesthetic somewhat.

It is less apparent when looking head on from the drivers side.

What do you think?

I'd take matte over finger prints any day, especially if you plan to take kids in the car.

This thread is really selling me on my Taycan v2 being in Purple. Congrats again on the pretty ride, D.

It came out nice.

I chose full gloss because Stek is high gloss and it has ceramic coating on it. It makes it easy to work off any fingerprints.
It keeps the looks consistent with the outer edges

They PPF-ed all the glossy surfaces with the matte, so not just the screens, but the entire front panel from edge to edge, and also all the buttons. But of course because there are borders/gaps between the screens you see the edges a tiny bit.

Glad to hear that - it is definitely one of the more exciting colors out of the non-PTS ones.

Well that didn't take long:

Porsche Taycan Project Purple - MY2026 Taycan CT4 20260208_173415.jpg

Not a single occurrence, had it twice already. Car has 171km on the clock.
Setting it into jacking mode, cycling ignition gets rid of the fault. Fault codes are pretty cryptic too, I'm none the wiser looking at them.

It seems issue happens early or not at all?
