Not true.
These batteries don't draw that much power like a battery for an ice.
High (cranking) power really puts stress on those 12V batteries and therefore life span.
Batteries on EV's last very long, at least 10 years or more (ask @ct14garage ).
Mine is over six years old and is in perfect condition, still a rock solid 13,4V.
Never ever experienced a dead 12V battery and my Taycan was one of the first in the country.
I hope that's true for all the lithium Ion batteries like the Taycan uses. It's definitely not true for lead batteries... my 2018 Tesla model 3 has needed a replacement ever 4 years so far.

It just keeps getting worse. Porsche roadside sent a flatbed out to tow to the dealer and they have no idea how to get the drunk open. I was explaining to him that you have to get in the fuse box, etc., and he said he doesn’t feel comfortable doing that so they left. At this point it is beyond frustration. If I put a tender on the 12 V for 24 hours or so is there any chance that might help the situation?

Update dealership said they would send their own dump truck out tomorrow. In the meantime I would like to do my own to it yourself possibilities. I’m gonna try to put 12V on a charge today.

As I said, get the car to wake up, then leave the car on for an hour or so (turn off the lights and AC) ... it will charge the 12v battery from the HV battery while its on.
Keep an eye on the battery voltage in the instrument cluster, value above 14v = still charging

I had 4 Tesla Model S'es over a decade (2 at a time), 12V battery required swapping every 3-4 years on all of them (~$200 cost if done in my garage by ranger). Which EVs do you know that are 10+ years old and most of them are still on their original 12V battery?

Teslas did not originally use Lifepo4 batteries. Totally different animals from what Tesla and Porsche use nowadays.

Ok, which 10+ year old EV's use "Lifepo4" (your naming) and are still on original "12V battery" (not always actually 12V nominal)?

I don't think you get the point I'm making but that's ok.
You're just here to argue, like on every single topic on here.
Sorry, I'm not biting.
I think you are very capable yourself to find the answer to your questions about the life span of an Li-ion battery in an EV in Google or any other AI tool.
Please post your findings here.
Or ask @ct14garage if you even know who that is.

I thought your point (in this post) was very clear, so not sure what there is to not get. I said a 7 year old 12V battery probably needs replacement, you claimed that low voltage EV batteries last 10 years or more. What did I misunderstand (or not get)?

I wasn't asking for an argument, simply for some facts/data supporting your statement that low voltage (a.k.a. 12V) batteries in EV's last 10 years or more. Perhaps you just don't have any data to support it and are extrapolating by word association ("If Tesla lithium ion high voltage batteries last over a decade, then low voltage lithium ion must last just as long" - which is not a logical conclusion as low voltage lithium ion batteries are not the same as high voltage ones, they don't have advance BMS with active cooling, etc), or maybe just believing some headlines you read somewhere. Rather that saying "ask ct14garage", why not instead provide links to specific posts by ct14garage that support your statement, or provide some data on which you are basing your statement.

Sorry if asking for some facts supports makes you feel attacked, or baited, or whatever you felt that made you respond with "I'm not biting". Perhaps add to your signature something along the lines of "I believe what I believe, I don't wish to be contradicted, and I don't wish to support my beliefs with any facts or data."

Following on from this topic I happened to watch the recent OGS YouTube video on a new Macan and it looks like it has a lead acid battery.

Not surprised. If you are making to a budget Lithium Phosphate batteries are massively more expensive.
