Very minor changes overall.
The WLTP is just because they put lower rolling resistance tyres on it.

Infotainment update is nice I guess... e-shift not for me, but maybe someone will like it.

I wonder if the infotainment gets again different hardware for 2027, or if it is just a software update.

It's new hardware and different software. It's whole new stack, and it's same as in Cayenne. AC screen is now multifunctional (widgets), OTA should be possible... It's more than just a polish.

Good I guess. I never use the infotainment anyway beyond the Android Auto.
But since every new year they change something this kills the resale value of the older cars more and more. I guess you would not expect any different from Porsche anyway :)

They finally got rid of the stupid touchpad writing area on the center console display. New hardware or not, this change is great.

That alone would be worth the upgrade for me if it was a decent price 😂

The e-shift noise doesn't seem different than what i have now in my taycan. Am i deaf?
Curious why they didn't use the same simulated v6/v8 noise as the 718 EV mules.

EDIT: the sound demo on the website sounds vastly different than the sound in the youtube video 😅

I had the chance to try the Ioniq 6N with their simulated gearbox, rev limiter and engine noise and it was extremely convincing. If it manages to be as good, then it's going to be a loads of fun

The infotainment has been flawless for me. I use Carplay which instantly connects. Snappy, zero issues

The Manthey comes from the factory now. Not sure how they get around homologation

Am I just blind or am I not currently seeing CT variants on the US configurator? Hopefully will update later…

The e-sound demo is cool; but this option sounds a bit bizarre:
"noticeable gear-shift jerks, gear-specific drag torque"

Perhaps we could go even further back in time and have an option which makes the car bump around as though it were towed by a horse?

OTA updates (I'll believe it when I see it)
It says, more narrowly, "Updates for the infotainment system in the Taycan can now be downloaded entirely over the air (OTA)" which is sort of what we already have, don't we?

It's updates to everything else beyond the infotaiment that are the problem - fixing a PCM bug or battery management software etc takes the car off the road for two days. Doesn't sound as though that's improved.

So basically a J1.3. Not sure about the e shift but will give it a test as soon as possible. Love the PCM changes. Brings the car in to the future.

Looking forwards to taking the new GTS for a spin❤🚗

Maybe this confirms the rumors that the CT variants are dead?

I’m hoping the site is just mid update and it’s not a case of “he’s dead, Jim.”
