I was recently without my 22 RWD Taycan for 2.5 weeks due to my AC charger, which randomly stopped working ("charging not possible"), and for the brake hose recall. I was indeed irritated by both the charging error and recall. While driving the loaner Macan I initially thought maybe I'll sell the Taycan and go back to an ICE like this Macan which was actually nicer than I thought. Fast forward to getting my Taycan back and to make a long story short I'm in love again. From the moment I saw it again to now a week back with it I can't express enough how amazing this car is....when everything works. The looks, the interior, and the driving experience. Love having my baby back.

I felt exactly the same after having a Macan GTS as a loaner while the brakes were done.

I had a similar experience two weeks ago. Went on holiday and got a SUV as loaner. Was pretty familiar with that car after 3 weeks and did not notice all the plastic, zero quality speakers and high seating anymore. When I got back at the airport and the valet parking drove my Taycan to me I had the same feeling as the delivery day in 2023. What a beauty and - I will be quoted a lot for this- but nice to see some nice/high quality interior again with actual good displays and interfaces

The dealership always gives me a base Macan as a loaner. This time I had the loaner long enough that I consumed all the gas in the tank. When I refueled, I obeyed the notice on the fuel door and filled up with 93 octane. The performance difference was night and day!

Every time I get the Taycan back from dealer it is like the fist day of ownership. So good!!

Same here. A few months ago, I got a high spec Macan S as a loaner….it had all of the things that I wished I had gotten when I had a Macan S a few year ago. After about 5 miles of driving, I couldn’t wait to get my Taycan back. I still plan to buy a 911…..I hope the Taycan hasnt tainted that eventual experience.

I have loved my 2020 Taycan 4S after almost 50,000 miles, but....

After suffering through the water intrusion defect with a flood in the passenger footwell, the heater recall, the brake loss recall, the battery being replaced after the dreaded red circle, and now a new battery recall, I needed something that wouldn't catch my house on fire, and more reliable. New ride is a '24 911 Carrera T Manual. Hate to not use clean energy, but I'll park the Taycan until they sort out this battery mess sometime hopefully early next year.

27,000 Taycan owners in the US being throttled to use only 80% of the promised battery.

Last summer my AC charger failed. I got Cayenne from assistance. 3.0 V6. Comfort? Yes. Handling, performance, throttle response? Don’t joke;) Economy? 13l/100km on highway (140-150kmh).
Then after 5 days I got Macan T from the dealer. 2.0T. Handling is much better, throttle response still late.
The I got my Taycan back. What a car!

When I came back to Macan T for 2 days later directly from Taycan, my impression was not as positive as before.

Yes, Taycan has issues with heater, charger, loses connection to the cloud. But handles really great.

Ha, nice story. A typical love hate relationship with a car. I had a similar relationship with a X5 diesel, always broke, but loved it when it worked.

I sold my Taycan two days ago, and how withdrawal symptoms - exactly all the thoughts that were shared below.
The only thing that is pacifying me is that it was just too big.

Starting on a Monday for a week I had a Macan loaner while service center did the brake line recall and lotsa updates including the mobile charger connect on my '23CT. It felt so mundane and was not exciting to drive. My wife's Q5 feels more responsive. Plus what's with that noise in front of me. And turbo lag even in sport. No instant torque! By Thursday I was calling daily to see when my car would be done and on Friday it was extended to Monday because of a delayed part shipment.
Egads, on Monday was I ever happy to go back to the future and drop into my EV. Every aspect of the driving experience seemed sharper. Even the Bose system sounds better. The updates are noticeable.
