April 2022 Deliveries

My start production is the same date and I too haven't had any updates. I don't expect near real time updates (though, my constant refreshing is hoping for more frequent updates). I can't figure out for the life of me what triggers an update. I've seen members here get their cars delivered and TYD still shows it at Emden.

Mine last updated on the 15th to say it was en route to Emden. It hasn’t updated since and my car is supposed to be on a boat in less than a week. It’s been stuck at that step for a week now. Seems like this is pretty common for TYD.

My car is finally on the way to Emden so thought it was time for an April delivery thread. Ice Grey Taycan 4S, Porsche Code: PNJ1AS20

10/25/2021 - Deposit placed and allocation received
12/22/2021 - Change Freeze point reached. There were several delays and earlier freeze points but this was the final one.
01/25/2022 - Production started
02/11/2022 - Production completed. One reason it likely took a bit longer was due to application of the front PPF.
02/14/2022 - In transit to Emden
02/15/2022 - Arrived in Emden (Updated)
02/25/2022 (est) - On Vessel
03/25/2022 - Entering Channel
03/25/2022 - Port of San Diego
04/15/2022 - Delivery Tucson AZ

I'm assuming that the last three dates are bogus. TYD has had some flaky dates for the estimates but it seems to eventually catch up. I'm hoping it actually makes it onto a vessel on 02/25/2022 and, with a bit of luck, maybe it will arrive a bit early. ?

hi Gary, congrats for your spec. It looks amazing. Where do you get all this info? After changing my initial order (4S to a GTS), on November 25th and although my dealer says everything is ok with the my order, I haven't received that initial email from Porsche confirming the purchase (and order @ Porsche app).

Thank you, all of the info is from TYD. I'm not sure TYD is available outside of North America. I received an email from porsche.us within a couple of days of placing my order with an invitation to register on the My Porsche portal. Once I completed the registration I was able to access TYD both from my browser and from within the My Porsche App.

I believe your dealer should have access to most of the same information through their system. It so maybe they could notify you whenever there is a scheduling change?

My SA gave me a heads up that my dates have been pushed back by about a month to the deep end of April. Looks like I should probably start a May 2022 thread. Anybody else has their TYD update as "started production" and now your CP8.0 has been pushed back another month?

My rwd just updated today to start production actual date of 22nd from the 18th. CP8.0 is still 3/4, On vessel is March 18th and delivery 4/15.

Glovis Sigma is currently in Emden, a week behind schedule, and was originally going to head to the West Coast.

I hope my Taycan makes it on. It's been in Emden since Jan 25th and didn't make it on Glovis Sigma. My new On Vessel date is March 28th, but I suspect that might be inaccurate.

There is also the RCC America about 1-2 days behind the Sigma also going to the west coast. Hoping I’ll be on either ship. Both ships are running about 5 days behind schedule

I got my Glovis Sigma status wrong, it's waiting just outside of Emden but will probably get there tomorrow or very soon.

Still weird though that the TYD estimate is pushed back so far. I wonder if the Felicity Ace fire messed up their tracking a little.

Glovis Sigma is being towed to the VW dock in Emden as we speak. Fingers crossed a bunch of us make it on and we get our April deliveries!

All,

Have any of you all, particularly some of you all that recently boarded the Siem Cicero, had TYD hold the original dates, without updating (please see attached)? No date extensions, no umbrella man, the estimated arrival date(s) keep(s) counting down, but no updates in TYD. I’m expecting the dates to push out because I’m losing faith I’m on the ship that departed yesterday. Our vehicle has been at the port for two-three weeks, which I realize isn’t a great deal of time, but no update in TYD. Thanks in advance.
