BOSE Delays

FWIW my CT-Turbo is now in the UK - pick it up on 16th - it has Bose - and a full spec aside from the mobile charger - but I have a solution for that.

OPC said he had 10 cars so far arrived without the Bose Amp - not just Taycans - those were with optional Bose not standard - they were all 'stop-sale' until Amp stock arrived and could be retrofitted.

This appears to be a new development in the Bose saga. My SA informed me that all base models, specced with Bose were not getting it fitted at all. That was at the beginning of last month. He was also able to tell me that the factory had confirmed my 4S will be getting the option.

Build date is rapidly approaching (11 Nov) so we'll see what happens and whether my car ends up with a stop sale (or no Bose). I'll post the outcome on here.

I'm a week ahead of you... at least that was the case about 10 days ago when my SA called. Production start 4th November, complete 11th November and due in Reading 2nd Dec.

I just now visited the Porsche USA Taycan configure page and the Bose is still listed as an option. The Burmester is also there at a whopping $7000 --completely absurd.

Sadly, I am 100% in agreement with you Frank. I appreciate these are uncertain times, but the initial excitement wore off shortly after the PEC and the continued lack of customer service or regard by Porsche as a brand.

I don't even think about it anymore. I expect something will arrive late summer 2023.

In the meantime, I am planning on buying a Jaguar F-Type V6 convertible next summer, then doing a tour through Europe. Sell it end of summer when I expect the Taycan to arrive.

I'm actually more excited about that than the Porsche.

Ah darn, I was planning on using the pmc plus as my home charger!

This is possibly the best option to be missing. If you get everything else you ordered, consider yourself lucky.

While there are many other EVSE's, if you really want the PMC+ it can be added later on. Don't let this hold up the delivery of your Taycan!

I also just got a message from my dealer. On my 4s the Bose is also not available (production march 2023 and delivery may 2023) seems like it is not a RWD or ct4 issue anymore.

When did you order Jasper? I have a 4s CT incoming mid December (quota November), signed deal end June 2022. So far so good (ordered in Germany).
Just wondering if there is any pattern still?

I ordered 6 weeks ago. So what I think based on all comments in this thread - please correct me if i’m wrong - that every taycan rwd, 4 or 4s purchased Q3 2022 or later will not get it

Hoping this is all true. I've got My Turbo S due to complete build on 10th November and all going well, should see it early December! Porsche have said so far everything progressing on time (well bear in mind i ordered a year ago) but fingers crossed it is shipped over timely!

We looked at the list of options that are currently causing build delays. They include the usual Bose, Burmester, VLC roof, but also include the regular pano roof and Porsche Electric Sport Sound.

My 4S CT is due to go into production tomorrow so I'm keeping everything crossed it leaves the factory with a Bose amp! I think it is just luck of the draw if they have a supply of them the day it goes down the production line.

So, are we now seeing Cars being completed, shipped to dealers but being held back awaiting Bose Amps?

Is anyone from the UK currently in this position?

My car (RWD) is apparently on the way over from Emden, SA still says it's showing as having Bose, but he's not confident until he sees the car in the flesh - Maybe its showing Bose, but only got the speakers etc and missing the amp!

Whilst not delighted if the car does not have Bose, I've at least already come to terms on this potentially being the case. What I would struggle to come to terms with is if the car is going to get it but I'll have to let it sit in a compound until an amp is made and retrofitted with no clue on timescales!

If this is the case, unsure why they wouldn't release the car and let you at least enjoy it (clearly without any radio etc), rather than leave unused, un paid for and for an undetermined amount of time!
