Fast charging always to 100% even with Profile

Hello all. When I charge at a DC fast charger, it always charges to 100%. Even though my profiles is set to 85%. General, Home, doesn't matter. No timers on. Am I missing something?

The OP is asking about DC charging. Assuming J1.1 and that charging mode as DC is correct, then the answer is simple. DC charging has no controls and always direct and always goes to 100% unless you manually stop it.

It would sure be helpful if new posters @Balthezor would provide the year of the car (J1.1 or J1.2) and then provide more of a case description, such as I am DC charging at Electrify America.

I believe they changed that for J1.2 but I am on the J1.1 so this is how it works. You have to manually stop it via DC charger, in car screen, or phone app.

I did not know you can stop it from the app. Thank you. App sucks though with connecting to vehicle. I feel like it's 50-75% of the time. My G63's app function is pretty much flawless.

There are a couple of ways to manually stop DC fast charging:
--Use stop button on the DC charger pedestal.
--Press the lighted button beside the receptacle on the Taycan charge port
--Use the stop charging option on the PCM.
Become familiar with all of them because none of them work all the time.

Timers and profiles work when DC is off on my J1.1
Not for DC (Direct Current) charging (not to be confused with Direct Charging) - profiles and timers are always ignored for DC (i.e. fast chargers: 150kW, etc.).

Bonjour. En plus de ces différentes méthodes, si vous utilisez la carte de recharge DKV, vous pouvez interrompre la recharge à distance via leur application ; vous pouvez donc le faire à tout moment, il vous suffit de la surveiller. D'autres applications proposent peut-être aussi cette fonctionnalité ; cela vaut la peine de vérifier. À bientôt.

No-one is debating this. The question relates to high-speed DC (Direct Current) charging.

Home chargers use AC (Alternating Current) up to 22kW where profiles and timers are available, assuming Direct Charging is not enabled.

Fully understand that. I wasn't debating. I was just trying to be helpful as subsequent posts referenced "home/selection of direct charging/"DC"/none work all the time" and I was tricked/unclear first couple times not realizing I had hit that button. Meaning it ignored profile and charged to 100% at EA fast charger (for reasons noted above) AND at home. I thought something was wrong because profile said 80%. Direct charging button was blue (is that "on or off"), etc. So I posted to pic to try to help anyone else who perhaps was tricked like me.
