I've had some great rates at EA!

You gotta:
- Arrive with low SoC (ideally 15% or less)
- Have the charger in the GPS as a destination that it recognizes as a charger (to precondition the battery)
- Get lucky and get a 350kW pump not blocked by a Bolt or Mach E

Nope. Fastest charge I’ve received was at a 150kwh charger. The 350 moniker is a joke.

262kW is the fastest I’ve charged at EA. When the 350kW chargers are working they work well.

So far Ionity in nl @ 0 celcius, was 80kWh.

Some numbers for the small battery:

We use Ionity and Fastned in Western Europe.
With a good charger, I get around 220 kw with the small battery while charging between 10% and 35%. After that it goes down. But I still get about 130kw up to 75%.
Going from ±10% to ±75% is about 15min, which gives me about 2,5 hours of driving (3 to 3,5 hours when leaving home at 100%) While traveling with the kids, we need a break every 2,5 to 3 hours and we need to hurry to keep the break under 15min. So charging does not slow us down compared to an ICE. And the small battery is ok, I am happy I did not take the bigger battery.

What incoming SoC though? And was the battery preconditioned?

From 35%, precondtioned. I had much better charges from a nearby 350kw EVgo a few times.
Now it was cold, and rainy, and i had the uPdate recently... i wish the car or station would say more why the charge is what it is, now we have no real idea whether it is EA, or the car, or the cold etc
(Actually, after 55%, it slowly crept up to 85kw max after 70% so perhaps the cold played a role. Still dismal)

Enjoyed constantly great speeds at IONITY and Porsche both in UK and across Europe, except for the one outlier Cobham Services which appears to have serious output issues. Never seen above 50 kW at that specific location.

I used the Ionity at Cobham for the first, and so far only time just over a week ago, and I did a 9 minute charge and added 37.65 kWh, which gives an average rate of charge of 251 kW. The chargers were empty when I arrived, but a Polestar plugged in a few minutes after me.

The only issues I've had with Ionity over multiple sites in Europe is Milton Keynes. Always a slow charge for some reason.

Have you been arriving with < 15% SoC? With battery saving fast charging off? From a charger you selected in the GPS from the chargers tab?

252 with 30% SOC, using the planner for 2klm, from the motel in Cooma to the charger. I was the only one there.

From what I’ve experienced so far there is multiple factors like SOC, ambient temp, battery temp, EVSE and PCM throttling influencing this answer.

In simple terms though I’ve experienced 240-250kw from Ionity units in Ireland when the SOC is low (<15%), the battery is preconditioned and there is no other users plugged in. Experiences are all with ambient temperatures of 2–8 degrees Celsius and PCM throttling disabled.
