I allocated one for ‘lift’ considering the many speedbumps we have around.
Did do know you already have a lift button just above the diamond button on the instrument cluster?

As for my setup:

IC diamond: parking surround view

Steering wheel diamond: sport noise (to turn it off when switching to SportPlus, and to turn on for pedestrians on their phones and deer and other animals when traveling through rural areas at night). I used to have it bound to HUD on/off, but then found I can do the same with the comfort memory, just store the same seat/mirror/steering wheel settings with and without HUD enabled. While I like the HUD most of the time, there are occasions, mostly when traveling up/down steep hills, when I turn it off.

On my 911: 360 park assist on the wheel. I don't have any other joker button on the dash because I have front-axel lift option.

On my Taycan: Sports sound on wheel and 360 park assist on the dashboard.

Homelink is location aware and stores GPS coordinates such that when set the option to open / close the garage door pops up automatically on the PCM - frees up the Joker button for something else.
Good point and aware, tried that, and did not like it, so wanted to replicate a button press like as on Cayenne/Macan. I do not have any other need for this button as it is far off, but makes sense to lean in when opening and closing garage.

Wheel: parking surround
Cluster: sport sound
I normally listen to Apple Car Play so tracks are accessed from there.

Whoa, a lot more variability than I expected! For me:

Wheel: Next Track
Cluster: Garage Door Opener

Very interesting!

I’m curious how all you experienced taycan drivers programmed your 🔹buttons. I allocated one for ‘lift’ considering the many speedbumps we have around.
what do you consider valuable?
There is already a dedicated lift button ….

So many choices, only 2 buttons! I had a hard time debating what to set for the dashboard joker but in the end, I only press home link twice, once to leave and one to come home. However I do have the home link shortcut on the main screen so it’s always a click away.

The sport sound I use it every time the car starts, regardless of location, hence the quick reach out

Does assigning ParkAssist/Surround view to one of the programmable buttons do anything different than pushing on the ParkAssist/Surround view button in the lower-left of the center console display? I tried it out last night and didn't see a difference in my J1.1.

Still early days in my CPO'd 4S — just wondering if I'm missing something. Thanks!

Should be no difference, but it is more convenient to have it on the wheel, as in my use case, I need it asap if I am in a tight area or parking area to start seeing the ground markers.

See… That’s why I love this forum. I’ll definitely have to try out that button and then have to decide what to do with my steering wheel joker. I haven’t had the car very long and I’m still learning all the trick. Thanks!

Thanks all!

Learned a few things! the lift-button indeed is there (love the memoryfunction on it) And also that the cams are available in the menu of the autopark assist :)

Reassigned steering wheel to surrouncams and dashbutton to repeat last queery from navigation

i dont have sportsounds on my car nor a garage (only carport)

On my own i listen to the car (what a wonderfull silence!!) or the radio so thats easy. With the family my hubby or son are in charge of music
