Weird I do not see anything in my app

Trying disconnecting / re-connecting to the app; also car PCM.
Make sure app is up2date.

To be perfectly honest, the option also dissapeard for me at some point 3 months back, around 1 month before my Porsche Connect sub was set to expire. As soon as it charged my credit me for a new year, the option was back.

So maybe check on your subscription also.

Obviously you don't have Porsche Connect subscription.
Or you don't have connection.
I do not have the Porsche Connect subscription. Is that required for OTA updates?

What I know from several i-pace owners through the forums was that the software tended to identify bad cells when charging to 100% - not so on lower SoC. ASSUMING that we are dealing with a similar situation with the taycan, my advice would be to charge enough times to 100% after the new software is installed and check whether you get any error messages.
From recall info to safety authorities, and the ARB6 mitigation, the fire risk increases when charging above 80% and increases further at rapid charging speeds. It follows that the latent defect is more likely to be revealed then. So yes, test the SW and your battery by supercharging your battery to 100%.

Yes, you need to have an active Porsche Connect subscription.
Glad we could help! ?
Maybe ill have to subscribe then. I thought it was only for remote unlock, etc.

Not true. Mine is first production year, and I have the option in the app, and have gotten as many OTA updates as anyone else on the forum.
Ack, thx for the correction.

My car is one of the first Taycans.
Don't spread incorrect info.
A bit aggressive, heh ? Coffee break time? I'll trust you, I was just wondering about the very first PCM (thus the "not that sure"). Good to know we all can receive those so rare OTA update;)
