The only thing I don't like is the lack of stalks and the lack of display in front of me, but they can be worked around imo.
I tried. Can work around the lack of instrument cluster in front (never learned to like it, but learned to live with it over a period of about 2 weeks when I rented a Model 3). The stalkless yoke I never experienced except for few test drives, but I hated it, so a deal breaker.

Yeah I’ve not tried it yet myself. It seems really stupid to me and a cost-saving that should never be made. I think you could learn to live with it, but whether it would ever be ‘easier’- I highly doubt it

I'd suggest trying it before buying. I'm glad I didn't get the Plaid as my 5th Model S - there way no vehicles to test drive, the sales person said I'd love it, I doubted it, worked out well. There are people who love it, or at least claim to love it after buying it.

You'll be happy with it, it's surprisingly light and nimble.
The styling is getting more modern, and I like the new sport seats, except for the childish warp speed insert.
Negatives still outweigh for me though; limited color palette (no solid white), no HUD, no driver display, no CarPlay, no sunroof delete.
They need these things to attract a wider audience now there are more compelling EVs, but are stuck in a reductionist cost saving mindset.
Would pay a little more and get a 5 N if I was buying.

If you like "light and nimble" then the 4900-lb. (!!) Ioniq 5N seems a curious choice...

Personally, I wouldn't be willing to give up a powered driver's seat with memory, regardless of whatever fake sounds the car might be capable of producing....

The ever-expanding offerings in moderately-priced performance-oriented EVs is a wonderful thing, though!

I wanted to at least say a nice thing about something I wouldn't choose, so I wrote he will be happy with it's weight.
I'm ok with the 5 N weight, it's 98 lbs lighter than a comparable .1 Taycan 4S with PB+.

That is a really low bar.

Why are you posting here? There are plenty of places where you can talk about how much you love your Tesla.
It is a car forum. People share opinions about cars, even not Taycans. Perhaps hit the “ignore” button whenever you see a thread like this, if seeing diverse points of view triggers you to tell people that positive opinions that don’t echo your own about any other car, should be posted elsewhere. ?‍♂

It is in the Porsche Taycan versus... section forum so entirely appropriate to this forum.

But an Tesla M3 LR *has* to be on our list because they really are good basic cars.
We just got my wife the new M3 LR and drove it from Texas to California. I have to say I came away pretty impressed. It has much improved...well, everything over the original.

If you are so triggered that you have to incorrectly imply that their opinions don't echo mine, maybe you should hit the ignore button.

I partially agree with the of "I think if they put this across the line to other Model 3s and Ys, they'll sell a another bazillion of them." I think they will sell two bazillion of them! Go Elon, you are our only hope!

But I do believe that comparing Tesla's suspension to previous Tesla suspensions is a low bar.

Had the previous M3P before I replaced it with the Taycan GTS. My wife loved driving that M3P because it was nimble and compact compared to our other Model X. Ever since replacing it with the Taycan, she went back to the Model X and almost never touched the Taycan because she has so much pressure driving it, namely needing to lift/angle to avoid scrapings, useless rear view camera, and needing to turn on/off/lock the car.

Gotta give Tesla credits where it’s due.

My wife drove 2 consecutive Model S'es. She really wanted another S or X. Tried test driving twice but couldn't swallow the stalkless yoke. She was also not a fan of cheaper feeling interior (compared to both her earlier Model S'es, latest was 2018). She ended up with the Q8 etron, however for the first 6 months I pretty much heard every day how much more intuitive and convenient Teslas were. She wasn't wrong. The eTron is slightly worse than the Taycan in usability (besides the obvious things like no walk-away-lock, stupid things like you cannot open the trunk with the fob if the car is ON, you cannot use the remote to close the trunk with a simple click, or the fact that you cannot leave anyone in the car with the infotainment and HVAC ON if you take the key with you, or that in order to start the car with AC full on you have to sit in the driver seat, hit the brake while hitting the ON button - just opening the door and hitting the ON button starts the infotainment, but air conditioning is in some low-power-eco-mode which is useless on a hot day, more things like this). Tesla iterates quickly and fine tunes the user experience without being hindered by legacy concepts like the ignition ON switch (not needed in an EV). Traditional auto makers take years to make small usability improvements (took 5 years for Taycan to get an easier charging user interface so you can just drag a max desired charge limit on the screen without learning about timers and profiles). The Tesla stalkless yoke is an exception in this matter - from everything I read it's not better, it's something people are able to learn to live with. Perhaps the variable steering ratio of the cybertruck yoke might work better, I don't know, never drove one of those yet.

I totally feel this. Tesla definitely is best at quality of life features. But the Taycan wins on performance, materials, and build quality. If only the two were combined, we'd have the perfect EV.
If nothing else, I hope Porsche would implement walk away locking.
