Had my J1.1 updated today and am fiddling with the settings.

I’ve enabled “prefer Porsche Charging Service” (which is my preference), but I notice there’s also a new function to search and add another operator.

If I add one here - for example Tesla because often the price is cheaper than PCS operators - does this get higher priority that the PCS ones or equal priority?

Im hoping to achieve PCS chargers being priority and Tesla as a second choice

Not sure (helpful I know) but I had the same thought as you, so disabled the PCS setting and manually added ionity and Tesla like you’ve done… I imagine it’ll still need a little manual route tweaking anyway.

Assuming it works like the app already worked.

Equal priority and then it chooses based on aviability and which one is closest. If they are in similar proximity, it will choose whichever will result in shorter charging time.

Perfect, thanks

Whoa, this is a big feature update. Sounds like this was a dealership update of the PCM? Was the car there for a warranty fix or service? Can you paste what the work order sheets says for the PCM update?

It’s part of the pcm update 3892; that was released for the navigation issues in Europe.

Sadly, you need to prove that you have navigation crashes to get the update - issues which never existed in USA, so not sure if they will agree to update your car. But you can try - it’s service campaign wtg1 I think

Darn, I checked under Charger planner menu, I definitely don't have this on my j1.1

My paperwork literally says “carried out software update to the PCM - re Sat Nav”. No codes or anything

Maybe it will be rolled out globally after a period of stability in Europe. Would be uncharacteristic but blindingly obvious the right thing to do.

Then again over here they’re making people prove they have issues in order to get 3892, not great for support simplicity or customer happiness 🤷‍♂️

All circles back to them not implementing OTA properly, makes all this hideously expensive as we know.

This is crazy. Porsche now maintains different SW versions across continents AND MY's.
Best not to think about it too much or it gets worse!

Still, it's OK. The customer ultimately pays for this incompetence.

Mine says this:

Satnav keeps crashing and not loading information correctly. Carried out investigation and confirmed manufactur technical inspection TI 9152 relevant to update PCM software. Ran as per instuction and road tested, tested with incorrect direction and confirmed routes updating with no further errors. No faults stored at time of test. Customer to monitor.

As far as I know they didn't reproduce the crash themselves before applying the update, but I did show, and send, them the video I'd taken of it freezing then crashing.

They say they reproduce it so they can charge extra service time to porsche central ;) They do it all the time in Switzerland. And at 600 CHF an hour, I would do it too.
