I would love for comfort entry to move the wheel forward, not just up. I have to do it manually every time I exit.

Yeeees! +10 on this. Love the PlayStation controller idea too. Would be great to have a cluster of assignable buttons on the wheel and another cluster around the tubes.

Riffing on programmability, it would be cool to have scripting or IFTTT hooks for charging and car state.

Of course, I took a shower and thought about this more:

Center console - Have it open some other way that isn't so awkward

Rear headrests - Have a way to fold these back so they're completely out of the way for rear visibility without needing to remove them

US Matrix headlights - Please let us finally use them now that they're legal here

Console screen - Feels like so much wasted space, give me an advanced user interface that's more dense

The only additional feature I want is for the damn center console to stay up on its own! I need both hands when putting my phone in the charger and I am not a contortionist.

Also, that passenger screen for web browsing idea someone had. That would be great.

But mostly the damn center console staying up!

-Ability to use Carplay on Passenger Screen.
-Quicker and more reliable Carplay wireless sync.
-Porsche version of DashCam and Sentry Mode. Have you seen the official Porsche DashCam? It's huge, sits in the middle of the windshield and is front camera only.
-More power and torque for the RWD; like a GTS version.
-Less bugs and glitches especially with the camera system.
-Innodrive not adjusting speed without permission.
-Stay on media choice when plugging smart phone in rather than defaulting to smart phone media or Carplay.
-Automatically lock doors upon exit.
-My Porsche App: much quicker connection time, better functionality than Tesla app.

Some great ideas in this thread many of which are standard on most other premium cars and even mass production cars.

I'll be moving to the Taycan from years of BMWs and will miss the functionality of i-drive 7/HUD incl speed camera alerts, media selection etc/programmable buttons/settings saved to key ......

If MY2024 is the facelift year then let's hope some of the ideas in this thread make it into production.

Tow Hitch - no idea why we cant have a tow hitch, it would look awesome towing a small boat or jet ski

To me the Taycan is a nice car, but still very far from the perfect car. Many features are missing.

I would like to add the features that I miss from my Model X:
1) Tailgate that can be closed automatically with the remote.
2) Automatic locking of the doors when moving more than 10 meters away from the car.
3) Automatic doors
4) Being able to set the exact charging speed in Ampere. (handy when on holiday or when limited power is available)
5) A charging network
6) The ability to plan maintenance work via the app and automatic locking/unlocking the car at the end of the maintenance to pick up your car at the garage.

Other stuff:
7) Hatchback like tailgate on the sedan that opens from the rooftop, not in the middle (like on the model S)
8) Regular tow bar available, also on the sedan. (for bikes)
9) Automatic front boot door.
10) Launch control power available at every start not after silly brake pedal sequence
11) A button to force preheating the battery.
12) The possibility to add your own charging destination in the navigation
13) Roof window that can be opened

For my two pennies worth

Know some of these are not functions but still put them in

1 Front rear cameras retractable, washer is pathetic on rear and totally forgot about on front
(and a better quality image)

2 Make the drivers side mirror dip when reversing, why only the passenger.

3 Remember the settings as you left the car , how can that be hard.

4 Allow the scroll wheels to scroll through folders when searching for music, the current system with its laggy performance make this process dangerous.

5 Make a simple option to select “only charge to 85 percent, why have to set up complicate profiles. Just have it as an option on the app on when charging plugged in.

6 Sports chrono option, Make the clock led multi-function. Really don’t see why a clock ticking
away the seconds is any use to 99 percent of owners. Could have flashing impact warning , so many options could be on this. Or option to ditch the clock and just have the wheel.

7 Option to have side bolster go flat when entering and leaving the car ( great for people with mobility issues)

8 Really would like some real buttons , but that’s a face lift job. Never going to happen

9 Cover on cup holders and a coin holder by steering wheel. Know is a small thing but open cup holders look messy and know where handy for coins other than bottom of cup holder.

10 Glove box that can hold more than a pair of gloves. There must be loads of space available. Why so small ? and Sunglasses holder by the rear mirror. Lots of cars have this. Real pain trying to get them from the storage area when driving.

11 Soft door close , on a £100k car this should be a available in the comfort pack at least.

12 Adjustable volume and sounds on the Porsche sound.

Don’t think Porsche even look at this site , so this is probably just a winge blog

Yes Porsche won't see this - intended as less whingeblog - more wish-list - Anyways the whole list would need prioritising to most popular 5 or so before raising it with Porsche.

I was just bored with all the Queen's Jubilee coverage here in the UK.....

Some really good suggestions though - glad a few others fancied chipping in - even the whingey ones -

I think there is a lot of harmonised customer requirements embedded here ....... great minds etc......

Another great feature, easy to add even to our current Taycans would be to select a DC Charger target percentage… or at least an option for 85% and to get a notification five minutes before reaching said target…
