Have you actually done any RWD tune so far? I know the rear unit is the same with 4S and your tune will be identical in that sense. But making sure there won’t be any unintended jitteriness etc, with the tweaks to gear shift points etc. given rwd relies solely on the tuned axle for propulsion. Appreciate any real world feedback if you have one.

Have done around 5 pre-facelift.
It's not special because it's rwd, there's very little difference between a RWD and Turbo S ASG wise.

We do have dev ecus for the macan platform, but even if we find a way in, warranty will be void. I doubt many people would be interested.

Apologies for the dumb question, but why would the warranty be void? And is that not a concern for the Taycan?

Because I don't think there will be any simple cloning option on the Macan like there is on the Taycan. On the Taycan we never touch the original controller and it can be refitted.

Porsche and Audi do not void the warranty on J1 even when they detect a tuned controller though (maybe that will also be the case for the Macan).

Anyway this is getting really derailed. Last time I checked this is Taycanforum not Macanforum.
There is no point asking about unsupported models. If a solution will be found it will be made available.

I can do it, but there is no point. The front and rear motors run at different RPM, so the only thing you can do is get a power graph by speed. No torque or anything else. This is only true for J1.1 though, J1.2 has SFD2, so forget about that one.

Also, strapping down the car properly means removing the rear bumper with all the grief that comes with it. You also need a dyno that runs with front and rear rollers hard locked otherwise they will run at different rpm.

I tested the VMAX limits on my dyno, but I did not put any significant load on it, and used the rear towhook attachment to strap it at the rear. I would not use that for full throttle acceleration.

I want to buy a taycan and unfortunately the best i can afford is a turbo s J1, so i want to use the car in the city but also on highway and up/down mountains in winter and have some fun.

This is where the car will be under 50% or even under 20% soc, when driving back home.

I guess with this tune the torque should really kick in and should be quite an improvement over stock, where it is only available with lc?

So is there a noticeable difference after tune between a turbo s and a tuned gts J1 or a e-tron gt J1?

The answer is you can notice it getting down on power below 60%, not massively but it won't spin the wheels as easily anymore.
At 20% it's quite slow.

Yes, it's noticeably better than stock.

As for the other cars, you compared three different powertrains:
1. Taycan Turbo S - 1050 Nm torque
2. Taycan GTS - 910 Nm of torque
3. e-tron GT - 660 Nm of torque.

Turbo S and GTS will be quite close, the e-tron GT will be much slower at low speeds (at high speeds it isn't as much of a difference), unless you go for the RS, then that will be the same as the GTS.

But the Turbo S definitely has the better acceleration off the line, it has 15% more torque.

There's dozens of GTS's that have been tuned....

60-130mph I don't think I have have, but 100-200kmh for a GTS ST is on our instagram:
100-200 stock: 8.6s
100-200 MapEV: 6.54s

Very good model to tune because it's basically a detuned Taycan Turbo. So you get all the Turbo's power and then some.

So I've had my MapEV tuned ASG in my car for about 3 weeks now, and I have yet to really do a proper Draggy test with it because its been raining every day here all month. But I will say, I've floored it for short bursts of time on open road and the power difference is bonkers. Like seriously, unless you are doing a drag or track focused build, I don't see why anyone would want more power than this on the road. Its insane and satisfyingly intoxicating, but can easily get you into some serious trouble.
My car already pulled hard at highway speeds. But I did a pull from about 55 on a clear highway drive with no car in sight of me this past week and it was insane. I probably still have it on my dash cam where I said "holy sh--" as I watched the speedometer shoot up in the blink of an eye. Once the rain clears up down here, I'm hoping to go to a strip or a closed off road and get some draggy numbers, but no doubt this has dramatically improved the power and throttle response, and for the price, support (every email was responded to in minutes), and performance gain, I am EXTREMELY happy.
