No over the air for this one, it's also for cars across Porsche and Audis, not just Taycans..

No, dealer visit required. I didn't do it on my Taycan yet, but I did on my wife's Audi and apparently it takes a few hours to reprogram.

Mine was also done onsite during an inspection for a chassis error.

You guys should read what they are actually saying in there.

"The vehicle will be reprogrammed [...] when the remedy is available"

They only checked that the recall is applicable, the recall action was not performed yet, because the remedy - the updated software - is not yet available.

------

Be thankful this is a recall, if it weren't, they would be releasing a taycan j1.3 only with the updated camera software and expect people to buy it /s

When mine was in for service, they kept it 90 minutes after the tire work was done to apply the patch. So something was done.

In the US, the NHTSA (government) web site AND the Porsche US web site says: "the remedy is available"

The only complaint I have is when you back up from the garage and push the Homelink button, the rear view video disappears until you close the HomeLink screen. Very annoying and a bit dangerous.

I do not have the issue mentioned in the ASB2 Recall Notice, but I will schedule the update with my dealer.

I never experienced this issue, until I was dropping the car off at service to apply this recall. It worked when I left the house, broke when arrived at the dealer. Basically, surround view would not activate, behaved as if car had no cameras at all (nothing changed on the screen when I put it in reverse, or tried activating parking assist via the diamond button).
