For first gen, the evidence that there is still some reserve left. For the refresh, I noted that zero means zero.

If you drive to 0% you can still drive but eventually the car switches to turtle mode.
Funny thing is, if you let the car rest for a few hours, the percentage goes up again.
That's cuz while driving the cells are stressed (pulling amps) and drop voltage.
Without stress the cells stabilize and voltage will go up again slightly, that's where your "extra" percentage come from.
You can't do this infinitely of course...
I drained my battery to 0% to reset the SoH (didn't work though).

Long story short: you can still drive a few miles at 0%.

it's happened to me twice. Scariest thing ever!!! While i was driving home from Irvine, my reading was that i had at least 30% left (about 10 miles from my house, which would've been more than ample range left). When i reached the exit (4 miles from my home), i noticed the range had dropped to 0%!! i was terrified, to say the least. With that said, i was driving pretty fast, as it was about 1 AM, and there were no cars on the freeway. i noticed my range drop so fast it was terrifying. I did, however, make it to my house 4 miles away w/ 0 range. i was told by Porsche service to put my car on "normal mode, as opposed to sport", and to drive at a slower pace to ensure the range won't drop to 0. hope this helps.

I Know from experience you can drive a model s around 20-30km below zero..

With the Taycan it’s maybe a few km.. 0 is basically 0.

personally I m more a fan of the Tesla approach.

The car tells you to park, then the car stops. Then you get out lock it, get in switch on and keep driving for another couple of kms...

I had an interesting experience this morning with my '21 CT4. I unplugged it at SoC 57%, left the car in the garage, and then went out a few hours later, and it was at SoC 62%. Has anybody else seen that happen, without charging the car -- just sitting still? The estimated range went only from 136 miles to 140 miles at the same time.

For the same reason from the post you've quoted.
