Where to put the keys?

I place it in the right scooped out depression on the dash above the driver screen

I found this to be the best place if you do not have the HUD.
I have the HUD and that depression is not there. I use a velcro strip on the bottom of the key and place is on the left ledge of the front storage bin, where I placed another velcro strip.
Every time I keep it in my pocket, it falls out when I drive.

You must be keeping the fob in your back pocket if it’s a PITA I keep mine in my wallet. Really wish you could attach to keyring.

I keep my fob in the Porsche Keyring wallet along with house keys and car keys separate. Its a bloody pain to be honest, I have a Ghost 2 fitted so wondering if I really need to carry the fob but somewhere on insurance it will say you MUST have it at all times

Generally my pocket, but for long trips I don't want it in my pocket and I like to keep my cup holders for beverages, so I use a non-slip mat in the storage space front center and it works great.

What I would like to know is where do you all keep your tracker fob, that is a pain in the arse!

I believe all come with them but you have to sign up to the tracker which in the UK is controlled by Vodaphone. Have you checked inside your glove box?
Not sure if you get in the USA

I put my key in the vent closest to the drivers side. It fits perfectly in there. Try it!

Yikes. I'll suggest also have a plan of action for this type of event, whether it is to feign ignorance, fight back, or let them have your property to avoid injury.
