I voted yes. Love my '22 GTS. Bought pre-owned, so dodged some of the depreciation. Got a well-spec'd car, which has spoiled me. If I were to spec a new one the price would be eye watering. The driving dynamics are best I've ever owned, though the tech is often disappointing, especially coming from a Tesla Model S. I would SO love deeper Apple CarPlay integration (which may be coming... one day...?), faster PCM processing, and OTA updates. I wonder if I'd be this happy with a Lucid Air, which I also considered before this purchase.

As the image in the app is showing, it is to preheat/precool the cabin only. Focusses on the seats that are selected. So no battery, no mirrors, no rear window heating

My rear screen does turn on, therefore my mirrors also turn on, and i have done some tests and whilst definitely not battery preconditioning, these last few mornings when I don't preheat the cabin my battery is stone cold like the outside temp, but when I do and for the full hour, the battery is at least 10 degrees warmer than outside.

I just did. Traded in my Turbo S (2020 model) to an Turbo GT (2025 model).
I`m very satisfied. A lot of big and small things to enjoy + of coarse the extra HP and Torque.
I`m enjoying the trip to work every day:like:

I voted Yes. It's been the best car I have purchased new. I've been driving EVs since 2012 and the Taycan was the 5th. I fully expected the Taycan to depreciate, just like any other EV. I ordered a base 4CT spec'd how I wanted it and didn't worry about resale value.

I bought the car specifically to be a Costco/Home Depot/Garden Center hauler - and it has been fantastic for that purpose. I didn't want an SUV/CUV, so the estate/station wagon was perfect for me.

My only real gripe is being stuck with the panoramic roof, which I did not want...

I voted yes. The Taycan Turbo is my second EV, the first being a Jaguar IPace, acquired when it first arrived, a couple of years before the Taycan became available. (I have a 911 as well and have been a Porsche enthusiast for years).

I'm an earlier adopter with technology that captures my imagination. And as a result, expect learning curves and 'bugs.' Make no mistake, the IPace was an amazing vehicle when it was announced... World Car of the Year, Green Car of the Year, etc. but it was fraught with operational challenges and spent too much time in the shop. There was only one mechanic who truly understood the vehicle at my dealership, which made servicing challenging. In the end it failed, the parts to repair it were six months plus away, and I had to flatbed trailer it back to the dealer and walk away (JLR treated me fairly).

I've had the same recalls to do with the Taycan as everyone else, and the same issues with long wait times for parts and service (my dealer overall is expensive, but top notch). I've also had the same high depreciation rate to deal with 'emotionally,' which is universal to today's EV market and will normalize over time. Yet it is an amazing car. Blindingly fast, build quality as solid as a swiss watch, and remarkably usable for a Porsche sports car.

I love the overall electric experience, and that includes very cold weather and very long distances (I did a run from Phoenix, AZ to Toronto, ON through a plethora of red states!). I do not see another EV on the horizon that compares with it today, for my needs.

There is no alternative to the Taycan. Nothing compares to it. So despite huge hit on depreciation, and Harry’s garage 1 million view to demolish it…I might buy another in 24 months when at least the curve of depreciation will be normalised.

I’m just curious if any of you regret buying / leasing your Taycan ?
I’ve got to say as much as I love the car I’m starting to get increasingly annoyed by the crappy quality in some areas, the app that works most of the time but not all of the time (can’t precondition today) and the blatant robbery when it comes to servicing etc, It’s certainly starting to lose its charm.
I don’t think I’d have got one if I knew what I know now.
I would definitely buy again, best car I have had despite a few issues, they will only get better, I think the new model 2025 is better, we where the trailblazers

I probably won’t buy another one but that’s mainly because I’m 60 and insurance in the UK is going to get more and more expensive as I get older. I reckon I’ll sell it when I’m 65 and see if I can’t buy something weird to drive around in. May be there’ll be a Zeekr 009 equiv in the UK by then.

love hate relationship is true. Bought brand new gts saloon 1y ago.

1. Have had 12V battery failure twice requiring Porsche assistance to attend my home
2. Had complete high voltage charging unit fail 120miles from home with whole family with me. Required rescuing car and PAX to home
3. Separate warranty work needed for brake hoses
4. Separate warranty work due to noise on charging - needed replacement cooling pump
5. A few tiny issues needed trips to dealer- never fully sorted

Its a real shame.. The drive is amazing but such a poor quality product. Makes me realise Porsche are focused a lot on cultivating an image to drive sales and not the actual product.

Communication not good. The techs don't speak to you but use the service front end staff to communicate messages. Everything communicated via a middle man. I have a C63 V8 merc and when at the dealers the tech working on my car always walks out and spends time with me going through everything. No middle man.

Its entirely amateur to have a 12V battery fail when connected to a HV battery.

Forget the depreciation. I don't buy cars as an investment. But the deep fall in values I suspect is a sign that the market is losing faith in the product. Who wants to buy an out of warranty car and be landed with unpredictable behaviour and unpredictable 5 figure bills.

I've bought my Taycan as a young CPO, so no big depreciation problem so far, but a fantastic car for a very reasonable price.

The Taycan keeps on spoiling me more and more:
The longer I drive it, the more picky I get on any other car, because they don't meet the standard, overall comfort and precision of the Taycan.
Agree, just 2 years warrenty is not of this world anymore, when Koreans offer 10 years. Also don't like the dealers (too arrogant), but the driving experience is great.

Sales is all "Golf & Porsche", not especially my type but the good thing is: they want something from ME.
At my dealership, service personel is excellent, down to the ground and very professional.
They add to my wish buying another car from them.

I did buy again :)
J1 had for 18 months, so many problems I ditched it and bought identical J1.2. No Problems with 1.2 - much more comfortable, no faults, superior suspension, better real range, better app connectivity, remembers my settings on the different drive modes, love the raised suspension when you open a door, and a real joy to drive....what I wanted from the first one! Lost £50k trading in, but it is the best EV!!! Awesome.

After my debacle with the drive unit replacement on my 2021, no. Car sold and I'm driving my vintage rides now.
