Yes, it was.
See my reply above.
I've been around here for quite some time and I know my stuff.
Why would I state something that's not true and/or verified?

OTA-update: someone said an OTA-update was "bullshit" but that same person recieved an OTA-update himself, ironically.
I didn't get the OTA-update myself although my email suggested I could get one (please read the related posts).
What more do you want to discuss?
Because you can make mistakes like everybody ...

For the rest, I think you should also respect the anonymity of the person on the forum by not doxing their first name.

2021 4S. I dutifully followed the instructions (written/video). After logging back in I lost all internet related connectivity (internet radio, Apple Music grayed out). It said that the PCM was in privacy mode, althought the setting said that privacy mode was disabled.

Internal wifi, bluetooth still work, carplay works. Decided to delete my account from the car (left my wife's login intact) and tried to re-register the account. It indicated it was unable to create account for now. I can see all the IP addresses on the car LAN, but I cannot ping any internet IP's.

I'm going to give it a rest for a few days and see if it sorts itself out. Oddly, before deleting my account from the car, when I set the automatic login to "disabled" it would still automatically login.

Prior to the server change, everything was working pretty much consistently.

Just another data point.

I'm using My Porsche and the update to the server seemed to go smoothly. All my services are available, and I've switched between the Guest Account and my account several times to assure the connection is solid.

As was pointed out by others, I believe this is NOT an OTA update per se, but rather a PCM Server update that simply causes us to reconnect.

So far so good.

UPDATE - After reading this thread I located a charging station on the My Porsche App, and tried to send it to the Taycan. It doesn't seem to go through, even though all the other info about the care (e.g., SOC, Temperature, Mileage, Lock status) appears to be correct. Also, Calendar and Weather seem to be working fine (I always had trouble with them before).

I've tried logging out and back in, but so far I can't get the Taycan to accept a charging location from My Porsche. Not a big deal, but if anyone has an idea of how to get that to work let me know.
Reinstall Connect. This has always worked for me to set routes remotely. Click location icon, select chargers, use map to find desired one. Make it a favourite (optional) then send to car. I used this to get from Yorkshire to the Alps using the Charging Planner (modifying in the car if Planner choices proved poor. I have never been able to do this with My Porsche (see another thread regarding absence of most of Connect functionality in My Porsche).

Followup Comment. Two days later, everything looks sorted out. All functions work. In fact, internet radio seems faster to connect now. I wonder if every time you select an internet related function (radio, Apple Play, the delay is due to the car validating the account with the server.

I could be imagining things, but my PCM feels much more stable than before. Connections are fast and app works without issues. But who knows, by tomorrow it could be crap again

OK, since this server migration update whatever it is, I have been using "My Porsche" app instead of the old "Connect" one. Everything I do with the app since then has been extremely fast. At least to me it is extremely fast, since the connect app has always been extremely slow. Sending pre-heat and timers took always a couple of minutes, or often did not work at all. My Porsche loads quickly and I can send pre-heat and timers within seconds. Was the app always this fast? Or has it really something to do with the update?

To my experience it was quite responsive before.
A few weeks/moths ago there were some connection problems but after that it was even better than before so for me it hasn't changed after the recent update, it was fast already.

I got back from Holidays yesterday. Immediately I had connection. To be sure I also switched to guest and back. I had no issues at all. This switch imho went flawlessly. I would have expected to see a lot of positive feedback on this migration as everybody upfront had an opinion on how worse this migration would be ( and also I, based on the youtube video, had my doubts).

My take away: people on this forum like to be very negative towards Porsche performance and if it goes flawlessly everybody is quiet.

I am aware that my remark will spark of a lot of comments but it is how I see sometimes this forum. I have had enough problems with my car to be one to complain but it is a "hell" of a car. Despite the software glitches I will not sell this car!
