I just got mine done, will pick up on Monday.

Dropped off on Weds for a few things and a tire replacement, also told that ANA6 update is being released on the 22nd, and she called and told me it's updated. However, I forgot to ask her about color icons, to see if this is the update we've all been waiting for.

I suspect it's not that big PCM update.

Going back tot he ANA6 recall notice, it actually now says that the update is to fix freezing screens, which I also have.

So I'm not as excited about this update as before.

She also said that they have updated software to fix the switch to P situation. Which was only known to them because I gave them the tech bulletin I found on this forum (big help, you guys).

At least my blank screen issues will be gone. :)

I agree. Porsche is notoriously secretive with regard to their dealers. Don‘t even allow them to store major software updates on site at the dealer. Every upgrade is downloaded directly to your car from Germany, which is why they often take so long and flake out.

Dropping mine tomorrow and will report back on any improvements. They are giving me a loaner. I just hope it's not an ICE. It's been a while since I put gas in a car. The idea of paying to put petrol in a car makes me nauseas.

I cannot put into words how fucking bonkers this is

the proper way to implement this is have a larger general package that they store here on PCNA servers, and then the PIWIS or whatever system connects and downloads a very small package of personalization direct from the factory based on the exact config of components of the car.

Or better still, like Tesla, implement true OTA software updates via wifi (which is built into every Taycan) so the customer can simply walk into his or her garage and be greeted with a fresh update with new features. That's what I thought we were all getting anyway when I bought my car. It's too bad that Porsche seems unable or unwilling to make that a reality.

Yeah, that'd be nice. Even if it was normal OTA updates for PCM stability, and then larger upgrades that needed to access motor electronic components were done in the service center, that would be great.

Just confirmed with service advisor. Latest ANA6 full technical details indicate this is the PCM we've been waiting for. Redesigned PCM interface with colored tiles. I'm still waiting for mine to finish. She said it'll take 8-hours to update (2nd on that bonkers comment above).

so much for OTA updates huh? Porsche OTA = bring to dealer and wait 2 days.

I thought I read somewhere, that this will be the last OTA that requires dealer visit, future OTA will actually be OTA updates.

I’ll believe it when I see it.

My dealer is doing my car now and it will be ready tonight. I was told it’s a 67 step process.

Pls confirm you get your car back! I am taking mine in tomorrow and cannot really be without it more than a day. Turns out they don't have a loaner available. Thanks

I've been waiting to take delivery of my car for about 2 months. I finally took delivery today.

The dealer performed the ANA6 update over the past few days. I can confirm that it included the new PCM update. I spoke with my friend who is a tech at the same dealer where I took delivery and he confirmed that the software package they download for the ANA6 update includes the PCM update and that it was not done separately. Just FYI for those waiting, it seems you'll get the new PCM with your ANA6 update. Also, I have the color icons, so I confirmed it's the new PCM update.

Oh wow. I thought that was weird that a flickering screen update would take 10 hours.
Thank you for the confirmation.

I noticed it says under the recall info on MyPorsche that a new owners manual is needed due to added functionality from the update. This further reinforces the idea that it is the full PCM update. I have mine scheduled for the 8th so I’m sure we’ll know by then and I can bail if it’s a disaster.
