You are correct on setting up your phone with the app, however it is extremely unlikely that our car will charge at any Tesla Supercharger other than a magicdock equipped one. Several forum members have tried charging with an adapter and failed to connect and charge. No VW brand is even listed as "coming soon" on the Tesla website. It would be great news if something has changed but nothing has been reported. If you have an adapter you can use the Tesla network now. Go to the Tesla website. Choose using other brands. On the drop down menu select Porsche. They select Taycan. It will ask if you have an adapter. Select yes. Then you will be prompted to set up an account. After you do that, you’ll be set up.
Wow, not even close to "coming soon"?You are correct on setting up your phone with the app, however it is extremely unlikely that our car will charge at any Tesla Supercharger other than a magicdock equipped one. If Tesla and VW know the timetable they are not talking about it. Even once "we" are added there are 5 manufacturers ahead of where we will be on the list. It doesn't look like it's happening in the near future.Wow, not even close to "coming soon"?

Yep, my feelings exactly. Rivian is likely to open up to us before Tesla. Hopefully in 2025... I've learned (the hard way) to not rely on anything EA. I've made several recent trips that required charging on the road. CCS options are multiplying and in general seem far more reliable than EA. Probably due in some part to being new installations but also they are being installed where there is 24 hour activity reducing the odds of vandalism. Buc-ee's, Circle K, Pilot/Flying J, FPL (Florida) and as you mentioned Walmart. Heading to an EA just because I have included charging is just not worth the lost time and frustration. Options are getting better and honestly lessening my rabid desire for access to Tesla.Yep, my feelings exactly. Rivian is likely to open up to us before Tesla. Hopefully in 2025...
