Technically it is possible to fix it but it’s really hard to do….primarily because this material is soft so it’s hard to polish it back to a smooth/glossy texture.

I use a Brotect screen protector, bought on Ebay for <15 CHF; since almost immediately after I bought the car; mainly to avoid fingerprints. It works very well, I have to wipe the screen maybe once every few months instead of daily.
Thanks for the recommendation, just picked up a set off amazon.

I applied the Porsche screen protector. It diminishes the scratch enough that I can probably live with it.

I was supposed to be in an E-Boxster by now, sigh.

About the protectors, I bought them because of your thread, but the passenger display one is not sticking on the edges. Do you have the same issue? Porsche NL webshop says it is not a production issue but my issue. What is your opinion?

I only applied the one for the AC console, but I saw a similar issue at the edge. My assumption is that heat+time will work that out.

It was by Brotect as mentioned by Sly_North above.

Here is the link: https://www.protectionfilms24.com/c/ALL/ALL/?searchfield=porsche+taycan#

Just make sure you have the currency at US Dollars. I did get free shipping, as I ordered for the Taycan and Mini Cooper at the same time. Customer Service was great, I was sent the wrong ones for the Mini Cooper SE and replacements were sent out in a day.
There are four varieties of Brotect protectors for the Taycan 2021* on the protectionfilms24 site: AirGlass Glass, AirGlass Matte Glass, HD Clear, and Matte. Which did you order? Are you still happy with them? Any installation tips for a klutz?

*As we know, later years have the same screen sizes.

I've not fitted mine yet, can't remember which one I ordered. As soon as my wife fits it (i don't trust myself) I'll provide feedback.

OK. Meanwhile, I note that amazon.com does not currently offer any variety of Broteck protectors for Taycans, although they offer them for lots of other devices and a few vehicles.

Also, protectionfilms24.com does not currently offer online ordering to U.S. customers, but on inquiry they said that after prepayment they can "manually" fulfill orders with a €9.99 shipping charge. My guess as to the reason: tariffs.

I ordered from a US supplier a while ago, mainly because they covered all areas including the rear AC panel. Very happy with them - they've been on 18mths.

Can't recall the vendor but if you search on here you'll find my post on it.

I know someone working on the 718 EV in Weissach and it is still very much a live project. I have no clue what is causing the delay: they are not talking. My guess is that they are redesigning it to accept an ICE or hybrid drivetrain. Possibly the first car in the world to be designed from the ground up as an EV and now being adjusted to handle a combustion engine?

But it will eventually get released. Just not sure if it will be 2026 or 2027.

The factory line in Zuffenhausen has been completely retooled to build the hybrid 911 and the fully electric 718. That was a major investment in what is a fairly old factory (compared to where they build the Taycan next door).

I ruled it out as it just won't have the luggage capacity I need for my use cases. But I can't wait to drive one and also see how it handles the "trunk" battery. Not too many EV's being released that don't use the skateboard architecture.

Glad to hear it is still a live/ongoing project. I definitely plan on placing an order as soon as it is available. I love the idea of a baby Taycan.
