You will get that missing thrill because it has the kick needed when not in LC, but I got numb to it after a while.

He'll get a way bigger kick on the TS with the LC torque patch. It's something else, because you get +100Nm torque even at low speed. When I flashed my car to stock today for the test it was really boring in comparison.

5.9 100-200 was me. More like 6.1 is more consistent.
Weather is better in California for the optimal runs.

With my PS4S I have now and if I lower my tire pressure, I should get a better 0-100.

Really good results. Likely the aerodynamics icw the tune works well.

That is very good numbers! To be honest without having exact measurements i feel that my Taycan turbo sedan (tuned)is much faster 100-200 than my previous panamera turbo s ! So it should be low-mid 6s in 100-200

Why don't you buy a Dragy and test? I am sure you have local distributors, but my company also sells them for 175 EUR.

I have one more question, not sure if relevant : does battery degradation affect the power output in any way ? I would think not except beyond a certain degradation maybe, most of us are around 90% SOH...

I would think it affects the last 1-2% of power. And if your SOH is a bit lower than new then you maintain that power for less time also, because the capacity is reduced.

You know, if you have an ICE engine and the valve stem seals and rings are worn a little then it also does not make exactly the same power as stock. Of course it's not as big difference as e.g. 80% SoC vs 20% SoC, but in a way it affects everything anyway.

And to give another example, if it's really hot and the battery is getting too hot, or the battery is very cold, then that also will affect the maximum power at that moment.

That is also why Porsche limit the power to 70% of what is possible outside launch mode on the Turbo S.
On the lesser powered variants it is also a marketing decision to additionally limit the power of course.

Porsche is flagging all the modified ASG's already. They have a database and they even know at this point which car has which tune, if a lot of cars were flashed with the same one. E.g. they know which cars have HGP tune.

They are not choosing to void the warranty at this point, but all the cars that have been to the dealer with a modified asg are already flagged. This means a flick of a switch and all those are without warranty, should they decide to do it.

Do with this info what you will. I can't of course verify anything, but it came direct from Porsche.

I am assuming that this above information does not reflect on your solution, as in your offered solution, the original ASG is untouched; hence Porsche have no record of any modification using MapEV.

Just trying to understand here. If I purchase an updated ASG based on your solution and put it into the car, drive say 10k miles and have some type of fault with the car I would put the old ASG back in and there is nothing logged in the other modules that the original ASG was ever removed and didn't travel those miles?

Thinking further, if I break down and need to get towed, I should keep the old ASG on me to swap in before it goes back to Porsche for warranty work?

Yes. There will be some faults in the ASG for removing and re-fitting it, but can be cleared with the diag tool, which by the way, none of the competition offers.

Yes.

As said many times before, right now Porsche isn't choosing to deny warranty with a tuned controller. So even if you kept it in, then you wouldn't be denied warranty coverage.

However, that can change at any time, and any time you go to the dealer for warranty work with a tuned ASG you will get flagged, but the flag does not void the warranty right now, no telling what happens in the future.

Btw, this is not only "my solution" - this applies globally to any solution, and anyone who tells you otherwise is trying to deceive you.

"The car" is a number of control modules, not a singular entity.
The ASG wakes up when you put the middle connector in. You have to put it in first. It's always powered.

If not, it means that you will have to carry a laptop to reset the code in case of an issue on the road. Alternatively, you can tow the car to your home garage and determine the next step after resetting the code.

Why? You don't have to reset anything. Some codes from asg swap aren't going to ever matter.
If the car is undrivable there's going to be tons of codes anyway and the first thing the dealer will do is a code clear and see what sticks.

Yes, I am just back from doing that.

The test was done with 85% SoC. Same road, same direction. Slope a tiny bit different because with stock it takes 60 meters more to reach the 200km/h.
Tests done in Sport Plus in both cases, flooring the car at 70kph.

With 100% SoC it can run 6.8x (I got that before, but I wanted to show the difference in exactly the same conditions back to back). Or if I go a bit downhill... but that's cheating.
Keep in mind, my car is by far the heaviest one - it is a Turbo S CT with absolutely every option ticked, even the rear seat entertainment. This also shows in the stock time though.

In sum for the Turbo S CT (MY22). @prj ran @ 85% SOC, and my run @ between 80-85% SOC. We drive exactly the same car type. Also fully loaded here, except entertainmaint in the back that PRJ has. I drove it on 22 inch Vossen.

I guess the most interesting is to compare no launch no tune (as most have) versus the tuned status (no launch, but with the launch patch, and tuned). This will show the most realistic day-to-day situation. Correct me if I am wrong.
When LC no tune is used, the difference with the tuned version is much smaller.
Benefits would be sprints without LC
100-200kmu is unfortunately not impressive, but that is the limitation of the battery/inverters, not because of the tune.
