Had that problem on my J1.1 several times with the passenger front window.
Was fixed when they changed the switch and possibly the motor / some wiring.
The also changed all door handles and related electronics when the issue remained.
That cured it.

Not such issues [yet] on my 1.2.

I’m not getting it. Are you trying to close the windows when the car is off?

I always close the windows before turning the car off — one quick click up (not pull and hold) and the window goes all the way up. Does yours behave differently?

It happens to my Taycan all the time plus all kinds of weird action with each windows, it's not consistent with each window. I gave up on trying to figure it out. They do work 95%.

The refreshed Taycan (J1.2) has removed the regen button for a track forward button on the wheel.

They did that because now there's a speed warning in the EU that you have to switch off every single time. So the diamond has to be used for that...
Mapped to that button on every single J1.2 I ever drove.

I wonder if making a CAN interceptor for the steering wheel harness that automatically sets the mode selector to individual and the speed warning to off on start could be a legit product...

Couple more:

• Most of the time when I get in the car and sit in the driver's seat the car just turns on. And sometimes it just... doesn't. Thus the on/off button I guess. ?‍
• Swiping the charge port door fin to get it to open. ...a second time, a few seconds later, since it didn't open on the first swipe.

Hm. I do have the power steering column. Pretty sure powering off the car moves the seat but not the steering.

I'll check again to be sure, being mindful of order-of-operations:
- Power off car
- Unbuckle
- Open door

Comfort entry only moves the steering wheel up. If you have it on its highest setting for normal driving, it doesn't move

I therefore have the same experience as you - seat moves, but not the steering wheel.

It's mildly irritating - I'd much sooner the wheel moved forward to its fullest too. But tbh I don't really have issues getting in and out (6'4" larger athlete). Rear entry is actually the bigger issue, with no space under the front seat.

The more I use the car, the less the s/w irritations (mentioned before in other threads) really bother me. It's a shame that the update process for PCM is so raggedy that third parties can't help with it as there are a couple of features I'd like from the new version (being able to select specific charging networks in the satnav; ambient lighting colour wheel). And there are things I wish Porsche would sort out (so nearly there on controlling audio fully from the right thumbwheel). But thus far they haven't made me regret buying the car.

I had the same issue on my old Turbo S (2020). Porsche removed this function during Corona (software update) because of lack steering racks on new cars.
The function came back again at a later software update

I'm guessing the "logic" is that the lower part of the wheel would encroach on the void your legs are in if the wheel went all the way in....

But having tried it, it would be so much better if it went fully up and in

• Make retroactive things like permanent regen setting memory for ALL modes
• Fix the awful Comfort Access activation reliability
• Submit a fix for the terrible lower seat cushion design in the 18-way seats.
• Change out the GODAWFUL rear-view camera for a less distorting and less
panic-inducing camera (you know, like a Kia!).
• Allow for greater charge capacity in your battery packs, even if a temporary
setting. The margins are too wide.
• FIX the lousy GPS memory auto-lift functionality. Better GPS antennas? More
rational software design, and point-of-activation memory? (Not point-of-saving
memory for god’s sake!)

Your customers are a sophisticated group. Why are you not taking action to ensure we do not buy some other brand next time? Why not listen to the actual users of your products? The relative costs of fixing the many niggling shortcomings of these fantastic machines (not the mostly fantastic mechanical part, but the lamentable digital parts) can be easily addressed.
I have not seen recent Consumer Reports survey results but I would bet that Porsche ranks near the bottom in customer satisfaction in the operating system (and camera!) categories. Is THAT the Engineering Mastery you brag about so loudly? Shame on you.
