How many heaters is that though?

You may win on lowest mileage (did it break on the way back from the dealer ). But I think we have had 5 replacements on here?

Anyway, it suggests they've obviously not fixed it with the latest version then.

Worth stocking up on these heaters for a future business? I foresee lots of cold Taycan owners…hmmm

I wonder what the failure mechanism is. Seems completely random with some of them going out so soon.

Analysis indicates all defective heaters are manufactured Friday afternoon. Zum voll!

Seriously dis-chuffed regarding this, especially as no loaner for 5 weeks. I accept that things go wrong but having to rely on friends to ferry me about (again, within a month) leaves a bad taste. Is it worth pulling the Assistance cord I wonder. Seems a bit OTT, but I am miffed.

It may not be a heater failure. Failed servo motor valves will also cause no heat. I had this happen to me recently, though they failed together - after HV heater was replaced there still was no heat, so 2 servo motors had to be replaced. Maybe in your case some servo motor failed 75 miles after the HV heater was replaced? Let us know what it takes to fix it.

So far as I know you can get a Macan via Porsche assist when the heater dies this time of year, as it’s a safety issue in winter. It’ll keep you mobile at least….

my 2023 is on its second now (each failure occurs November) so I’m looking forward to another failure again next year

Parked inside vs outside? Add to that difference of power... maybe some people park outside and start the car without pre-conditioning at 28 degrees inside heating settings.

Humidity differences? Pressure differences? Driving at 3000m altitude vs at 0-500m?
Are all components of the heater tested for these scenarios?

Maybe some really had a glaring manufacturing defect. Mine for example was replaced in 2024, without it ever breaking, and they didn't even tell me.

And as @ct14garage made a tear down, some components are simply shit/not appropriate because they wanted to save pennies

You have to remember that Porsche is used to and thinks that most of their cars are garage queens. Especially cars built the same as their 911s
