I just loaded up CarScanner and I could not find where "available torque" is listed. Do I need to drive the car to record values? I wanted to validate the stock setting.
You can either tap “all sensors” on the top right and scroll down. (You should see a search bar where you can put “torque”, it will show you various torque parameters).

Or you can click on the dashboard on the top left, and scroll through various views, you will run into available torque in some of the screens. You don’t need to drive the car to check “available torque”. If you monitor actual torque you will have to drive and slam the pedal to see how high it goes up to.

I'll give it a try today. I assumed the car had to be driven hard which is a another issue in the Washington DC area

In case it helps, it looks like this in one of the screens and called “actual possible maximum torque”.

So I used the dashboard method. Max torque reads 1 until I put the car in drive then it displays 341(all driving modes). When I've driven it live and recorded data before I've seen torque go way past that though so maybe there's something else to it. Again this weekend when I have more time I'll drive it and try to get some live data. I want to get to the bottom of this now ?.

This is getting interesting :) so you saw actual torque going higher than 340?

You can create a custom view and see actual and maximum available torque live in parallel. I am attaching a screen recording i did a while back with the custom view i created. See how max available torque jumps to 362nm as soon as I engage LC.

This worked for me too. I put the car in drive and the value shows up. I am at 341 too. So, now when I do the ECU swap I should see an instant change there.

ECU swap to what? Tuned or stock... I'm tuned and showing 341... I'm questioning now if I'm mistaken the higher torque numbers I saw for HP. I'm confused now.

What about checking the maximum available power as well? The 340 torque is aligned with what prj mentioned (the tune cannot change the torque for the RWD), but I would check whether you have the 476 hp unlocked with the tuned ECU.

You could be right about that. I preemptively looked for a max avail HP screen and didn't see that. I know for a fact the most I've seen while driving is around 560/570hp And that was on 80%. SoC. Tell me what screen that's on and I'll look

I'm still stock. I haven't swapped to RedShift yet. Have a few more test runs to get in at Stock before I do the change.

There is no “max available power” screen. You can only check power live. I think the best way is to check is “power from torque” screen. It essentially calculates the power from the torque and RPM. You can choose to customize a screen and search for “power from torque” and pick the chart format. That will get you something like this:

Look for “HV EV battery power” and check the graph on it in the “Data recording” menu.

This does indeed confirm PRJ’s claim that torque is limited to 340nm with the tune. However i still think redshift’s claim may be true for max power (>500hp). PRJ claims that 1- there is a hard limit on torque from inverter controllers 2- there is a hard limit on power that is driven by battery. #2 will only be limiting for higher end models like Turbo/Turbo S. Prj seems to be calculating a theoretical max HP for RWD based on the max torque assuming typical EV torque/power curve (eg assuming torque will start dropping below 340 after 10K rpm thereby setting the ceiling for HP). This may not be true and you can still hit 500+ HP at 11-12K rpm if tune delays the torque drop to higher rpms than stock (and stock LC). I’d find it odd that porsche would bring a hard limit just on HP outside of battery management system. Would be interesting to see what Emokeff88 finds out.

I'm committed now, unfortunately there's not a lot of "Mexico's" around me to really run any trim Taycan without losing my license . Nonetheless, I'll do some highway pulls and hopefully find a 0-60 spot if nothing comes up for me this weekend. I wish I wouldn't of deleted all the data recordings on the scanner app from 6 months ago when I installed the tune.[/QUOTE]

Understand what you mean. But if you simply do a 40-80 mph run in sport mode on the highway, you will just use 1st gear and test the 8K-16K rpm range, ideal to check out the max power.
