Is that in ZFAS? I don't see those bitfields in my version of PIWIS.

Re: Activation thresholds. Have you tried adjusting these? https://www.taycanforum.com/forum/threads/anyone-with-piwis.20946/page-8#post-514427

I have mine set to 4 activate/8 deactivate and do notice matrix high beam activating when it's not completely dark, given there isn't sufficient light from other cars and/or street lights.
This setting seems to be under the BCM1 module; I kind of forgot. o_O

Anyone have any idea in which module the Convenient or Comfort Entry/Exit (seats moving back on exit) settings are located?

Due to a recent software update at Porsche, my comfort entry/exit settings have been disabled; and as usual, the dealership is not helpful.

I have a working PIWIS and would like to reenable this feature - anyone knows which modules to look for or the exact coding to bring this menu option back in PCM.

Thanks.

Because my car has matrix headlights, I tried modifying the activation threshold (from 100 km/h down to 80 km/h), but I wasn’t able to write the change. Are there any other ways to increase how often the matrix headlights activate? It’s really difficult to actually see them turn on.

You weren't able to write the changes because the range for p_v_autobahn is 100-200something kmh.

For those of us not lucky enough to have competent drivers with no speed limit motorways, it might be beneficial to lower p_v_autobahn_on (changes throw and angle of beam). For me the default was set to 140kmh an on delay of 10s. Yikes. 90+mph for 10 seconds? It's not often circumstances allow me to do that....

This could very well explain why it seemed like my headlights weren't bright far enough in front while on the freeway. This could also probably be a reason why I thought my headlights weren't aimed high enough.

Did anyone come across a setting to disable the Porsche voice assistant? I tried using it a couple of times, including when the PCM splash-screen "Porsche" would not disappear, but it was mostly just frustrating while unable to do anything I ask, or doing something I didn't ask for, so essentially useless to me. I would however like to reuse the steering wheel button for something else (not through Porsche software, my own microcontroller which can monitor the CAN/LIN bus which will tell me when the button is pressed or released - I just want the PCM to ignore this button).

I’ve ordered my connector and found an old laptop. I’m just about ready to get programming. Although I’ve read this forum through several times, the information is spread out and has modifications to the instruction in some points.

Is there a definitive list of programming options and the associated instructions that are tested and approved? If not, I think it would make sense to make one, I’m happy to take it on if people DM me with individual items (one per DM) and instructions. I’ll compile a list and post it as a separate thread. (I’d prefer to be pointed to a thread of course, but I think the community would benefit from a central instruction thread

I didn’t think you could turn on FoD via PiWiS but great if it works.
My car comes standard with an 8-way power seat. Since it doesn’t have the seat comfort entry feature (which automatically moves the seat back when getting out), I enabled this function manually.

Imagine if all 14 way seats came with the massage feature but it was shut off through the PCM/PIWIS?
I’d like the feature on my 18 ways too. It’s the one thing I miss about my E63. Although I find the seats more comfortable overall, the massage is a really nice touch

It’s probably unlikely… because the massage function has hardware differences. Inside the seat there is an airbag that controls inflation and deflation to achieve the “massage” effect. So I think this isn’t a case of a feature being locked or hidden.

I'll give this a go, once I get home in the evening.

Thanks @Chiu
@Chiu
Checked. Mine is already enabled; yet I have lost the Comfort Entry/Exit menu in the PCM (after the sofware update by the dealer).

This has happened to a lot of cars of 2023 manufacture, during Ukraine problem. Any cars that has 14-way/ 18-way seats and also Comfort Access - these cars got the seats but did not get the ‘electric adjustment steering wheel’. Comfort Entry/Exit still worked but only on the seats.

With a recent update, somehow the functionality of Comfort Entry/Exit on such cars (without electric adjusted steering but with electric adjusted seats) has been removed. The option has disappeared from PCM screen.

Any way to bring this back?
Thanks…

Yes. At that time, the supply of parts was affected by the war; otherwise, the electric steering column should normally have been standard equipment.

However, regardless of that, even the most basic 8-way power seats can have the comfort entry/exit function enabled through PIWIS.
When getting in, the seat automatically moves forward to the memorized position; when getting out, it automatically moves backward (but not all the way back).

This function does not need to be selected or activated through the screen. Once the settings are completed in PIWIS, it should take effect automatically. There will be no on-screen option to turn the feature on or off.

Fully agree.

On my car (until the recent software update), the Comfort Entry/Exit option was displayed. Something like the attached (although that is not my car, just a picture from the internet).

After the update, the comfort entry/exit PCM menu item is missing and the functionality no longer works.

I have checked the entry using PIWIS, and it states that the particular entry is already active.
Porsche Taycan Anyone with PIWIS? Easy Entry

---------------------------------------
Easy Entry/Exit not working until this point.

I then found another entry in BCM called 'easy_entry_steering_column_via_mmi_configurable'

Porsche Taycan Anyone with PIWIS? BCM-Easy Entry

This was set to inactive. I changed this to active; and voila.... Easy Entrty/Exit is now working...

I have no idea if it wa this change or something else that triggered the Comfort Entry.Exit to start working; but it has started to function. 👍

@Chiu

Do you know of the code to make the seat go a bit more backwards? I understand the risk that there may be a person sitting behind, etc... but do you know the parameter to change to make the seat go further back?

Any ides ?
