Audi Concept C EV revealed - thoughts?

Not sure about it… but I see that new car interior this days take inspiration from the 70s. Same for this concept.

Ignoring the usual concept car futuristic theme, I can totally see how that could be the new Audi TT. It’s frustrating that Audi seem to be embracing the 2 seater sports concept faster than Porsche

A TT EV has been trailed, but this one is different to the designs I’ve seen for that. The scale here seems more like a RS8.
I loved my mk1 TT. A pocket rocket. The first car I did 150mph in. Sold it when the kids wouldn’t fit in the back without breaking their legs. My wife now has a TT roadster, but it’s not the same.

Ahh even better! I had two TTs and absolutely loved them, it drove better than an Audi should.

I love it that it is more sculptural/clean and no longer the cluttered mess in the front trying to look more and more agressive. The middle Part with the rings doesn‘t look finished to me yet.

However I am not trying to fall in love with a concept design, most of the times lots changes til start of production.

Reminds me of the new Jaguar concept. Nah, not for me.

Think its the same designer who did the Jaguar 00, has now moved to Audi you can see the similarities. His name is Massimo Frascella.

as a prior TT-RS (8S) owner, I welcome this concept. Audi has already mentioned it is near production in design, so I would imagine slightly small wheels etc etc (like they did on the e-tron GT concept vs production). and likely low/high beam modules in the vertical outer slats as I imagine the horizontal thing strips are DRL's

I need more information, but I don't hate it. Porsche needs to step up with the Cayman EV.

One video I saw claimed a curb weight of 3,718#. That's acceptable, given the retractable hardtop. RWD with 450 horsepower would be adequate.

Isn’t this based on the platform Porsche was (still is?) to use for the Cayman? I think it’s attractive.

Waiting for the Cayman/Boxster reveal on the same platform September 7.. stay tuned - hopefully they will provide some technical numbers and not just a interior exterior concepts

I like it, and I especially like it as a harbinger of Audi's future design direction.

Audi design went from world-leading/innovative in the late 90s to truly forgettable, over-designed and derivative by the mid-2010s, which was a tragedy, IMHO.

This looks like a great way for Audi to begin to climb back out of that abyss...

and then Porsche actually created the production Taycan!! I couldn't believe how good it looked. And it is so close to the concept -- just timeless design with amazing lines, we are so lucky to have it :

Couldn't agree more! The 2020-2024 Taycan is true to the mission E concept, and continues to be one of the most beautiful cars on the road. I still get comments on it pretty much every week about how beautiful the car is.

The Audi has a beautiful interior, except for the silly afterthought popup screen - the exterior is sharp - except for perhaps the ugliest front end I've ever seen short of the Tesla cybertruck. What are they thinking???
