Sorry if the question is asked before but here I go : Somebody told me to do the slow charging 11 kW - 22kW for the first +- 10 charging sessions .. to extend the battery life ?

Suppose it will not hurt to do so ... but : Myth or fact ?

Thank you for your insights.

There's a battery-saving option somewhere to limit the charging rate to 200kw that I always leave on. Not sure how or even if it changes the charging curve besides limiting the maximum.

there is no break in period for batteries or EV motors

I would take to a fast charging station to verify charging works - this is a terrible thing to find out on a road trip.

other than that just charge the battery and drive the car - there is nothing to "do".

The only consistent guidance I've seen for Lithium batteries is to keep the battery from being under 20% or over 80% for extended periods of time. Also, avoid extreme heat or cold (though the BMS mitigates most of that).

Where’s that option? Can’t find it anywhere in my MY22 menus

great thanks. Will check it in the morning. I still don’t understand what Porsche’s position is on this point. They say “limit charging speed to preserve the battery” but they also say “of course you can charge at full speed with no damage to the battery”. Which is it?
